Part 1

I was a great Planeswalker once. Well...kinda. I earned recognition from within my playgroup anyway, er cabal I mean. I even won a few great wars as a Friday kNight Magicker, lost plenty too sure but I still like to reminisce more on the few times I emerged victorious and undefeated to boot. I'm going to miss those times if this retirement goes through, really. I remember when this all began for me. When my Spark first emerged. I was a mortal child like any other on a camping trip in the 'Real World'. As a reward for some challenge we were given a choice of boons from sweet treats to minor play toys was given unto us. Me and my companions settled on some packages of paper stock cards idolizing sports heroes of our time and buried in the brick like packages was a small stack of our first spells. I have forgotten most of them now but I remember one spell in particular I had acquired many cards, um tomes, of that day allowed me to summon forth the powerful and beautiful Sivitri Scarzam! Hehe, of course none of us had lands from which to draw the mana required to cast such magics, so we waited, and dreamed of worlds we not yet knew.

It was when we came upon a Mirage that we first 'Walked into the Multiverse, fitting to discover our birthright lands in such deserts. I remember the chaos of those times fondly. Unskilled though we were it was the rush we had dreamed of! What glory did we achieve then! For then we arrived on that fabled plane of Dominaria, a world that had just emerged from a Dark age and an Ice Age. The true final days of the Ice Age wouldn't even be known again till many years later when we were thrust back to those times in a viscous Cold Snap. Shortly after our arrival on that poor ill-fated plane, we were swept off on the voyages of the Weatherlight and her brave crew. Later we would discover that all that was a part of something much, much greater. I've never really been sure but I think the next few years temporal mis-continuity were a result of the mighty Urzas time experiments on Tolaria Isle. But either way I was there through it all. At first I took command of a small ragtag platoon of Meta-Thran warriors and a sorcerer/archer artillery regiment. After that bloody debacle I remember in my rage plunging into the fires of raw red magic and blasting my foes with lightning and raining down on them god sent Volcanic Hammers. Eventually I would embrace the powers of life and death alike with my zombie horde empowered by the rare green magic or two as the Masquerade, Invasion, and Odyssey wars raged in the background. I even dabbled in the manipulation of a strange little phenomenon known only as the Ice Cave for a while.

To be continued...

Ah, you're a young 'un. I recall a time of Time Walks, Duel Lands, and mox powered first turn kills via Channel + Fireball.
