Hi guys, apologies in advance if i have posted this in the wrong section?

I was wondering if any of you kind folk could reccoment a game for a beginner collector.

im mainly interested in the painting side of things but it would be ideal if i could later use them in a game

preferably a game with small - medium sized armys, doesnt have to be GW and but i would prefer if it was fantasy of sci-fi

been looking at spacehulk on ebay but its a bit £££ for me atm, deadzone looks a decent game also?
