choose the asset that allows for no scatter. then deepstrike all in on the 1st turn. flamers drop at the reat and flame and 4+ or worse saves. while the daemonettes drop a couple of inches away from their front line, charging on the same turn.

what should i do after this to improve the list?

total so far:1389pts

i do have some necrons that i could use, although daemons and necrons arent the most orthodox choice, it is apocalypse so anything goes these days.
i have thought of bringing my transcendent c'tan....

1 keeper of secrets
1 lord of change

You have to love apoc games. For me, they epitomize what 40k is all about: blowing things up and losing hundreds of models a turn.
Personally I would avoid using your necrons, as I think you can field a pretty strong list with just your CD. Plus, I personally like to try to keep it semi-fluffy

I would run the Cohort of Blood, which is:
Skulltaker (proxie from a herald) + Herald of Khorne + 8 squads of 8 bloodletters
You have plenty of models to run the formation, and it is always nice to get some free rules.

I would also run as many FMCs as you can fit. The lord of change and the daemon princes will be really helpful with maneuverability and getting those pesky fliers.
I don't know how many points that would put you at (probably close to 3k). If you have the extra points, I would run either An'ggrath or the 2 soul grinders.

Let us know how this goes. And make sure you post lots of pictures! It's always nice to see an apoc battle report.

just looked into the cohort of blood.... nice to see that the rules are better in this edition. (was it IA:Apoc or the old reload cant remember)
yeah that will now be included also. should do some work against riptides and the such.
with skulltaker and a herald, it does make it a little more pricey like , but should be well worth it.

thats 2184pts so far...... so i couldnt get an'grath really. i would go over by 72 pts...... (i know its apocalypse but its quite strict in this one becuse its a smaller game)

although, i actually think that the cohort of blood is not needed, as the daemonettes are surprisingly good.

Honestly, I would just use the rest of your points on FMCs and Soul Grinders. You'll need the FMCs to fight his fliers, and the grinders are fun to use. But that's just in my opinion.
