Ok, I don't know if this is one of those, "your a bit too late now" situations or not since I've never done this, but I'm looking for someone who has room in there car/hotel room for one more willing to share the cost for Adepticon in April. I've never been before and the reason I want to go is to enter the Crystal Brush as well as meet a few online personalities whom I admire. I thought there was a Crystal Brush happening in Atlanta in May, but I was mistaken. I live in Augusta, Ga, but if necessary I can probably meet somewhere else in Ga, as long as I can park my car somewhere safe for the weekend. I don't take up much room and I wont be bringing a lot of gear or miniatures, just my entry(ies) for the Crystal Brush and at most one bag and my laptop. I also get along very well with others.

Have you considered volunteering at all with CMoN? They'll be there and leave from just north of Atlanta. I'm sure if you were willing to put in some volunteer hours you'd be able to hitch a ride....

As to the hotel.....that may be a tricker situation.

Yeah, CMON Expo has a qualifier (http://cmonexpo.com/ May 23-25). Attendance last year was pretty terrible, but hopefully this year will be better.

Though I don't think they've done much advertising again.. and it looks like no site updates since September..

I think they actually want the attendance to be 'low-ish' so that people can really interact with the designers, etc.

That's fine, and good for CMON.. but terrible for the non-CMON vendors.

I don't think CMON will drive me up there because I volunteer for them. As for going to the Expo I'm not sure how that helps me go to Adepticon this year. Yeah, they have a qualifier for next year, but it would be a better chance for me to just saving the money that I would spend for the Expo and put it towards traveling to Adepticon next year, rather than spending it on not winning overall, which I wont because I'm not a professional painter. I may still go to the Expo if I can't find a way to Adepticon, but that is an unrelated situation. I want to go to Adepticon this year.
