Hello all,

I would like to post a review about some painting work I have had done, or am having done. Justin Petitt (sometimes know as Deus_Morte) has done some models for me. Most have turned about pretty good. I have had to give him a few back to add some details but no one is perfect and in painting it's all perception. I was actually quite pleased with my Centurions even though there were some comments by others that thought they could have been much better.

As far as delivery, well there in lies the problem. Justin likes to give you dates on when they will be ready and well they just never are. This is not a day or so but weeks off. This is a pet peeve of mine as a business owner who under promises and over delivers, not the other way around. I am currently waiting on 10 bikes and 2 attack bikes to be painted. Justin got the bikes a week or so before the Tiered Tourney on the 7th. I joked about asking him if they would be done by then and he said no way but they would be done by the following Wednesday the 9th. I then asked him the following week if I could meet him on Friday to get them for the Hobby Town Tournament on Saturday, He told me they weren't ready and I should have told him I had a tournament. What really, they were 2 days overdue as it was. So I told him a few days later that I was going to to the FCB tournament on March 1st. He said they would be done by the 21st, then 24th, then the 28th. Now he forgot about the conversation completely and I still don't have them. Apparently I have to babysit him to make sure he does his job every day because the once or twice a week texts aren't enough.

On top of this he asks for payment up front. Really, no he really does. This doesn't bother me as I thought I was helping him out but obviously he doesn't care about completing the job or have any incentive to.

Quality 3.5
Timing: 1

He has said he has had issues that wouldn't allow him to complete stuff as fast as he did before. Stuff wasn't always done on time before either. I am sure he will have plenty of comments about how it's my fault somehow that he missed every deadline. But his is just a review for those people looking to hire him. It's your choice not mine. He won't be painting anything else for me and hopefully I will get my bikes before April.

Or he might not give them back at all now.

Warring souls was similar. Took a long time to get my project and there was little comminication and the result was OK but not great. Plus the packaging was bad (had heaps of chips) and it just took ages. I felt in the dark most of the time.

Now I stick to "amature" painters for my models as they are superior in every way so far.

I know how you feel :(
