I looked on the flamesofwar.com forums and found an answer to this question but I can't find it in the rules anywhere, so I thought I would ask it here. What happens if my platoon command stand is killed. The other forum stated that the cic or 2ic could move into command with the platoon and "appoint" a new platoon command with a "field promotion". I can't find this rule. Does anyone know the specifics of how it works or where the rule is?

It is the case (IC/2ic can't shoot) I think it's under command teams

Pg. 105 of the rulebook, under the subheading "appointing new commanders". Why oh why they didn't put that rule under the "command" section instead of the "shooting" section is beyond me!

Thank you econtutor for the answer. I totally missed that whole page when I was trying to find the answer. That was a big help!
