Ok, so was thinking of running something else than my usual white scars gravbike list at an upcoming tournament next month. Here are the tournament restrictions:

no allies, no fortifications, no escalation, no stronpoint assault, army must be led by a special character, points limit is 1850pts.

this is what i was thinking:

chapter tactics ultra marines

Hq:
tigurius

captain on bike, SS, artificer armor, combi-grav

Troops:
5 bikes, 2gravguns

10 sniper scouts, landspeeder storm, heavy flamer

2x 10 tactical marines, melta, combi-melta, plasma cannon, las/plas razorback

fast attack:
10 assault marines, 2x flamer, drop pod

stormtalon, skyhammer

stormtalon, skyhammer

heavy support:
3 centurion devastators, TL lascannons, missiles

total:1850

ok, so not 100% sure on the assault marines. Could drop them and put something else into the pod. Maybe another unit of tacticals? Main idea is to put Tigurius with the centurions and try to get forewarning and possibly perfect timing for them. I know a full out Khan bike list would be more powerful, but wanna try something different. One option could be to add a couple of TFCs instead of the assault marines? Please, let your ideas fly.

It looks good, not much else to say. 5x Man Assault Squads w/ 2x Flamers are better.

Hmmm.... by droping the assault squad in the drop pod to 5 mans strong, i could fit in a 5man scout squad in a land speeder storm with a heavy flamer That sounds a lot more usefull than five more ccw+pistol marines coming out of a drop pod. Had to remove the camo cloaks from the sniper scouts though...

Thats a much better trade off.

Ok, here's my feedback (blunt but hopefully constructive haha)

* 5-man bike squads are good, but get as much grav as you can: add combi-grav and melta bomb
* Why put sniper scouts combat squadded and then half in the landspeeder storm? If you are gonna use scouts in the land speeder, optimize on it's open top feature by taking bolter scouts or close combat scouts; heavy flamer is good on this though.
* I don't understand forcing yourself to combat squad the tac marines b/c of their razorback transport... 5 marines alone usually just ends poorly, and if you're planning on walking them on, might as well use a cheaper troop choice like bolter scouts. I'd stick to 5 in the razorback if you're taking a razorback, otherwise make it 10 in a rhino with matching ranged plasma/combi-plasma
* Assault marines won't make back their points, or provide nearly enough impact to justify taking them in this case. They are useful when you need to get that "extra pod" to get to an odd number; then take 5 with 2 flamers to be most effective.
* Stormtalons are great, skyhammers are the proper load-out I feel for their job; you probably won't be shooting at Wraithknights with them (T8) so you should be fine with 3x S7 shots rather than 2x S8
* Unlike the in-your-face Khan list, you don't really have any major threats in this list to be honest. I'd either go all-in on the centurions and get 4-6 with grav, go with Tigurius for Gate then divination, and Chapter Master (on foot though to tank wounds, you don't want him on a bike because then he can be focus-fired out of the squad) and use the rest of your force to just pick off objectives. Personally I would do something like this:

Tigurius
Chapter Master - terminator armor (so he can use his orbital bombardment whenever they gate/move, etc.), shield eternal, power fist, auspex

Scout Squad - 5x bolter, camo cloaks, land speeder storm w/heavy flamer
Tactical Squad - 8x bolter, plasma, combi-plasma, rhino
Tactical Squad - 8x bolter, plasma, combi-plasma, rhino

Bike Squad - 2x bolter, 2x grav, combi-grav, melta bomb
Stormtalon - skyhammers
Stormtalon - skyhammers

Centurion Devastators - 4x grav cannon/amp, hurricane bolters, omni-scope

Well, I'd probably include a Knight dropping the Assaut Marines and one flyer.

The list of the clincher could be a viable alternative since the TFCs are really mean these days.

Hmm since you've already got a lot of points invested in the Cent unit why not make it beefy enough to take a beating so you can play it aggressively? Swithch to the Grav Cannons and up the captain to a chapter master give him SE and tank for the Cents. You know you'll have Prescience so that's a TL OB on turn 1, possibly with ignores cover. Pretty solid. Prescience would otherwise be wasted on the TL Las cannons. Now you've got much better volume of fire that is still pretty scary to vehicles.
Dropping the 2 tactical squads for 2 5 man biker units with melta or grav could probably net you the points for this.
