Hi all, I'm new to the world of x-wing but so far I'm a big fan.

The current list I've been running that I prefer to the "han shoots first" net lists is:

Chewbacca YT-1300: 52 total
-Gunner gunner is just great overall
-Millennium Falcon title one of the three extra points went here, being able to switch to using evasion later in the game is extremely valuable if they are focusing down the falcon and can buy one or more turns of shooting which is pretty crucial. again, only one point.
-Anti-Pursuit Lasers anti pursuit laser on a ship with moderately low pilot skill to me seems pretty good. any way to squeeze in extra damage with no expense of actions on my part is great in my view.
-Draw Their Fire if they go for focusing the b-wings down first this can occasionally draw the heat off. only one point, extra points went here
-Intelligence Agent extra points went here, doesn't seem amazing but there's not much you can do with 1-2 points

Blue Squadron Pilot B-wing: 24 total
-Fire-Control System b-wings to me seem superior to x-wings with a small increase in survivability that also makes them not dependent on defense dice or as inclined to focus for defense, so they can focus on doing as much damage as possible. fire control system makes their offense even stronger. barrel roll as an option puts them ahead of x-wings further in my opinion

Blue Squadron Pilot B-wing: 24 total
-Fire-Control System

Am I onto something here or is there anything obvious I'm missing? B-wings seem great. I feel like x-wings are overrated, a-wings are a bit weedy, y-wings are a bit lacking in firepower and lists involving 3 high skill rebel pilots that aren't YT-1300s to me seem fragile and not worth it. Of course I am new so I could be completely off base!

Also has anyone run three YT-1300s? I do not have the models for it available yet but I am thinking that the following might be strong:

Outer Rim Smuggler, Gunner, Anti-Pursuit Lasers: 34 total
Outer Rim Smuggler, Gunner, Anti-Pursuit Lasers: 34 total
Outer Rim Smuggler, Gunner, 32 total

Any comments or tips from more experienced players would be welcome!

A discussion about triple YT-1300 is ongoing here.

Your list seems fine. Mostly because your running 2 B-Wings and a YT-1300. But as it is that's just getting you staying power. You should play it a bit and tell us how it goes. I would say off hand that there is room for improvement. For instance Draw their Fire and Intelligence Agent seem awkward. Between cutting those and the two FCS you could get some points back to try something else. Maybe cut the Pursuit lasers too, you are PS-5.

And don't go knocking my X-wings! There is a triple-X list I use to great effect in more casual games.

One I've had luck with:

Chewbacca with marksmanship, gunner
Blue squadron B-wing with advanced sensors.
Blue squadron B-wing with advanced sensors.

Essentially it's most of the firepower of "Han shoots first", but with advanced sensor B-wings instead of the questionable rookie X-wings and near-complete immunity to crits on your key ship. Alternatively, expert handling is amazing on a big ship. The large base gives you a huge range of options, and if you're higher PS than your opponent's ships you can very easily dodge arcs. The only real downside is you're giving up some crits and the double "focus" on your gunner re-rolls.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Thanks for the link KnuckleWolf, I'll definitely check that out. I have played only a handful of games with the list so far but it has yet to lose, not that I think it is invincible or that I'm an amazing pilot. I think I will have greater difficulty with very numerous TIE swarms, and I have yet to play a rebel vs rebel match.

That looks like a solid list too, I'll definitely try out a variant using marksmanship. Expert handling is something I've never thought of, a large base barrel roll is a huge amount of lateral movement. I will try that one as well, seems very cool.

Thanks for the advice both of you.
