Hi guys,

I am still preparing for a tournament coming in a month and a half at 1850pts with my Grey Knights.
I have two potential lists that i want to use.
Both of them rely on an important alpha strike so i need you to help me choose :

List 1 : GK + SW allies
Coteaz
2 * 3 henchmen in psyback
4 * 3 henchmen
3 * DK with teleporter and heavy incinerator

2 * RPriest one goes in WG droppod, other in GH droppod
10 WG (9 combi melta, 1 Terminator, droppod) one goes with GH, terminator goes with LF to tank
8 GH (melta, droppod)
6 LF (5 missiles)

Inquisitor psyker with 2 servo skulls (inquisition codex) goes with LF

The aim obviously is to bring the 2 pods with WG and GH T1 with the DK shunting to bring as much pain T1 as possible.
Coteaz and henchmen will stay in reserve.

List 2 : GK + WS allies
Coteaz
2 * 3 henchmen in psybacks
3 * DK with teleporter and heavy incinerator

CM with bike, eternal shield, gauntlet and artificer armor
5 bikes, 2 grav, 1 combi grav
5 bikes, 2 grav, 1 combi grav
4 bikes, 2 grav, 1 combi grav
Thunderfire
5 LD with melta, multimelta and combimelta in droppod

Once again the aim will be to bring as much pain as possible T1 with 3 bike units, the LD, and 3 DKs shunting (i will again reserve Coteaz and henchmen)

What do you guys think?

I just changed colors, it hurt the eyes otherwise

I am liking the second list better. Bikes seem a good way to go and can never go wrong with a TFC.

I make bad decisions and think they are good.

I like the first list, drop pod Meltas, Long Fang Missiles and JotWW+LL on top of those DKs makes for a brutal Alpha Strike. Are you giving your WG terminator a Cyclone Missile Launcher? He should have one I was just making sure cause I didn't see it one there.

i wanted to but would have to take away too many troops to take the launcher (and he is mainly there to tank and die anyway)

Well, the 2nd list looks quite promising. I guess that anti-air comes from the grav guns?

Actually i dont think i need a lot of anti-air as i should be in cc turn 2 and disengaging the bikes at the end of opposing turn.
Necron flyer spam might be a problem of course, but if i can take their foot presence away, then it should be fine.

Honestly you can use the razorbacks as decent anit-air.

I make bad decisions and think they are good.

Actually i was thinking about an improvement to the 2nd list:

Coteaz
3 * 3 henchmen in psyback
3 * DK with teleporter and heavy incinerator

Khan
commandsquad on bike (5) with 4 gravgun
2 * 5 bikes (2 grav, 1 combigrav)
4 bikes (2 grav, 1 combigrav)
Thunderfire

I loose the CM and the Legion of the damned but i realised they would arrive T2 as they cant be in a pod so they are not really worth it in my list. I gain on the other hand the commandsquas with 4 grav.

I was also wondering between the Khan and a classic captain on bike or archivist on bike (as he is ally, he wont be warlord anyway)

Any idea?

I ran something very similar this weekend in a doubles tournament and it ran very well. We went 3-0 and took 1st.

I like Khan in the list for the command squad. If you were to run a Libby on a bike your bikes wouldn't be troops.

Ah forgot about that for the libby.
Then i guess its either Khan or classic captain

Go with the first list, but i will say you have no anti-air. So I think you need to figure out how to get some. Or you can depend on the fact that you will win the land battle but keep getting picked off from the skies.
