So I'm thinking of running a death company army for fun


Hq

Astorath

Troops
30-40 death company
2-3 death company dreads
And maybe a few drop pods

The only problem that I face is a lot of my normal opponents play swarm or shootier army's most hate when I field even a unit of ten but is it possible to run a successful game (unless it's objective based) I know I wouldn't win.....I haven't decided on the load out for the death comapy yet but all the dreads will have blood talons

i'd add a furioso for the drop pod frag cannon
1 d.co dread in storm raven
2 d.co running up or 1 running and another podding in

so turn 1 prob fragioso with either d.co dread or 10 man d.co

turn 2 the remaining d.co/d.co dread and a storm raven

i'd emphasis the storm raven alot, you need shooting badly with this list. against skimmer based teams you're gonna need the missiles/las the storm ravn brings to the party
