Guarded Grey Knight Terminator

I am about to start building my first army, and I am initially attracted to grey knights. Then I kept reading and the whole inquisition as a whole I find a very interesting. My question is how well do inquisition lists play, are they fun and what would some sample builds look like? I would still like to have a couple squads of grey knights as support but fill my army out with the inquisition.
Thoughts? Are these builds fun? Would a build like this be viable?

Hey there and welcome to the game!!

As a GK player I can tell you that both pure GK and GK + Inquisition have really fun and fluffy lists but if you would like to be competitive I have to inform you that we are not a top tier army right now (IMO) .. Anyway I play for the fun of the game with friends so here's a list (2k points) which includes Inquisitorial units filling several roles , from Anti Armor to assault and supporting fire , and GK units depicting the elite choices of the army.. Note that I would rate this list as semi-competitive

Hq:
Coteaz 100 (Divination)
Ordo Malleus Inq w/ Terminator Armor + Hammer + Psycannon + Master lvl 1 (Divination) 110

Elite:
Techmarine w/ Rad Grenades + Psycotroke Grenades + Blind Greanades + Power Sword 120
Vindicare Assassin 145 (in a Bolstered Ruin for the 2+ cover)
5x Paladin Squad w/ 2x Psycannons + 1x Halberd (the Justicar has it) + 2x Swords(the Psycannons have them) + 2x Hammers 315 (Malleus Inq with them)

Troop:
1st Henchmen Unit : 3x Plasma Cannon Servitors + 2x Plasma Gun Warrior Acolytes + 4x Crusaders w/ Power axe 148 (Coteaz with them)
2nd Henchmen Unit: 7x Death Cult Assassins w/ Power sword + Power axe + 4x Crusaders w/ Power axe 165 (Techmarine with them)
10x GKSS w/ 2x Psycannons + 8x Swords + Psybolts 240 (Probably Combat-Squad to maximize Warp Rift range + another troop choice)

Fast Attack:
Storm Raven w/ TL Assault Cannon + TL Multi-Melta + Hurricane Bolters + Psybolts 255 (2nd Henchmen Unit + Techmarine here)

Heavy Support:
Dreadnought w/ 2x TL Autocannons + Psybolts + Searchlight 136
Dreadnought w/ 2x TL Autocannons + Psybolts + Searchlight 136
Dreadnought w/ Nemesis Doom Fist with built in Heavy Flamer + TL Heavy Flamer + Psyflames 130 (in Storm Raven)

This is a list for 1999+1 games .. If you 'll play 2k points with Double Force Organization just split the GKSS to two different units and exchange their Psybolts for another Plasma Gun Warrior Acolyte and 2x Servo-Skulls .. There is really good synergy in the above units and you can be competitive if you play your cards right .. If you like Dreaknights note that the three Dreadnoughts (I love them !!! ) cost 400 points if you find/modify the list to get another 70 points you can include 2x DK w/ Personal Teleporter + Heavy Incinerator

Hope this helps and welcome aboard

If you take Codex: Inquisition as the Primary Detatchment, you don't use the standard FOC, and your Elites become scoring (the limited slots available would make any sizeable army difficult without allies, but it's not as impossible as you imply).

If using only Codex: Grey Knights, taking Coteaz makes Henchmen into Troops.
