A few years ago, I attended a Gencon and was given a free blister of ships from the AoG booth. It was what they called a "demo kit" for the models in the game. It included 2 narn G'Quan Crusiers and 2 Centauri Primus cruisers.

These cruisers I have are almost two inches long, roughly.

Judging by what I am seeing on the mongoose site, these models I have are quite abit smaller than the ones they are selling. Does anybody know if these are the same models, or perhaps just truly promos that were quickly rescaled?

Uh, you do know that AoG had two starship combat games set in the Bablyon 5 universe? There was Bablyon 5 Wars and Fleet Action. The games used two different scales. Fleet Action was the smaller of the two.

Most ACTA players are pretty accepting of both scales, so it shouldn't be a big deal. While the smaller models have a lot less detail, I wouldn't have minded setting on the smaller 'Fleet Action' scale since it'd be slightly cheaper and the base stem 'point' is the important bit anyway.

Working on someting you'll either love or hate. Hopefully to be revealed by November.
Play the games that make you happy.

For better scaling, Mongoose are using the smaller Fleet Action masters for the fighters and the larger Babylon 5 Wars masters for everything else. The recently released Drakh are the first new sculpts for ACTA, a feat which amuses me greatly.
