Ok so heres my idea of a relatively competetive flying circus at 2k, the only problem is, I'm 35 points over!
Where do you think i could drop the points, or even change things entirely?

So the daemon princes will get portalyglyph and grimoire while the soulgrinders will go as fast as possible forwards and hopefully attract fire, all the troops will either walk on or DS and Be'lakor will... just be Be'lakor.

It looks pretty nasty, although light on troops for 2K. At 1750 i'd say you're alright, but that's pushing it. Then again what competitive daemons aren't relatively troop light?

So about you're 35 points.... How about lose one mastery level on a Prince, and make one Grinder DoK? Don't have my 'dex at the moment but I believe that nets you the points. Maybe even a little extra.

I know you're tight on points but a Greater on you Slaanesh Prince for lash could really help out. Lash on him would take the AA load off of your Grinders and make sure they're doing what they're supposed to be doing which is torrenting out troops. Possibly go DoK on both grinders? Not Ideal, but I don't see where else the points are going to come from.

Ok so how about I get DoK on 1 of the grinders and drop baleful torrent on one. Then drop a ML on one of the princes giving me a great reward for the lash and exactly 2000 points.

I wouldn't drop the baleful torrent on one of the grinders since then all it has left is harvester cannon which is heavy so the fact that he's slaanesh will have no use at all, so you might want to keep the baleful torrent and make them both khorne (another 20 pts free if you make booth of em khorne so only 15 to drop left)

The second thing I would drop is just drop the portalglyph and keep the soul grinders like you have them, It costs 30 pts and it will probably get killed really fast aswell since it only has 12 armour on all sides. Also, the fact that it scatter 4 d6 will make the chance that you get to drop it at your side of the table a big risk, so I would just drop the exalted reward on one of your princes.

So, I would say, give your slaanesh prince a greater for the last of despair. which'll cost you 20 extra points. but in exchange for the exalted you are only 25 over now. And for those last 25 I would make the slaanesh daemon prince ML 2. to free up those last points, and use him more offensive. ml 2 is still good (especially if you could manage to get either endurance or iron arm from the biomancy) and you can still keep the marks of slaanesh on both your grinders.

Yeah I would definitely second keeping baleful torrent. The grinders just aren't really worth it without.

Argh I just don't know about dropping the 'glyph though. . .3 flimsy scoring units at 2k is just not enough.

I'd say go to Deamon of Khorne on both grinders (nets 30 points) drop one master level on the Slaanesh Prince (nets you 25 points) and add a Greater Reward to him (costs 20). So you just saved 55 and spent 20, should put you at 2k exactly. The grinders aren't as optimised obviously, but they're still going to be a threat and you have better AA now.

Honestly, I think you'd just be better off fitting in more Daemon princes in the heavy slots than the Soul grinders. My personal opinion.

@dalymiddleboro the problem with that is I'd only be able to take one dp for the two grinders which in this case are important for both taking and giving out firepower, as well as being handy in CC
