In a couple of weeks I'll be going into a "friendly" game with my local group. I'm going to try and go against the ork player, but might end up playing against daemons. I will be unable to bring anything forgeworld due to some of the other players.
I know for sure the ork player will have nob bikers with warboss, defkoptas, killa kans, and some nobs in a truck. I'm not sure what else he'll bring though, since he updated his army since we've last played.
The daemon player I have no idea what he'll bring. he was coopting chaos and daemons, but recently went full daemons, so I'll need total help on what to bring for him.

I know for sure I'll be bringing a wraithstar (Destroyer Lord and 6 wraiths), but not entirely sure what else to bring. I do not have any ccb/ab but do have 2 night/doom scythes and a ghost ark.

i think a lot of anti horde type things will be useful. annihilation barges in particular. which you said you dont have... unfortunate.

night scythes are always handy.

I havnt played vs a daemons player before but for orks you could try tomb blades with the blast weapons and even the trem tekers from royal court.

going with lots of warriors in ghost arks could help you here too especially with an orb in the group.

id avoid the necron characters as they will just get swamped.

I have never fielded a monolith but maybe that large blast and the sucky teleporty door will work nice?

Well, at this high point level, a Wraithstar shold have 1-2 DLords and 12-18 Wraiths.

I'd add 3 Annihilation Barges, 2x10 Warriors in Night Scythes and 10 Immortals in Night Scythe.

Yup, I agree. Lots of Tesla and barges will do it. You'll want mass of fire.

That was a good call going with wraiths. Nothing more frustrating than sending your 350 pt Greater Daemon who has I9 into CC just to attack last after taking 2 or 3 wounds.

My intent with the wraithstar is to get in cc with the warlord and have it in contact with at least one wraith and the destroyer Lord. Mss the warlord and if it passes the leadership test it still goes last.
