After reading the Dark Apostle series and the Word Bearers Omnibus, I'm wanting to make a small fluffy force. Only one person has a mark to keep things as undivided as possible.

Coryphaus (Lord) with Power Maul, Power Ax, Sigil, Gift, Vets and MoTz
with a squad of 9 CSM Vets with Bolters, Pistols, and CCWs and a melta gun.

A squad of 10 CSM Vets with Bolters, Pistols, and CCWs along with a melta gun, plamsa gun, and Icon.

Both squads are in Rhinos with Dozer Blades.

A aegis line with a quad gun manned buy a squad of 5 havocs with 4 ML.

And finally a squad of 35 slaves.

In terms of playstyle, I'm wanting to be fluffy. Using the cultists as a meat shield in front of the rhinos to soak up the bullets. So they're going to be moving and running forewards. Rhinos will be moving up behind, popping smoke and doing majority of the work. And the havocs will be doing long range blasting .

I know Vets are a hit or miss, but I like the fluff that a majority of Word Bearers were at the siege of Terra. And before pointing out that the Coryphaus is marked, all good leaders need at least one of the gods to be seriously looking out for them.

And its my opinion that every CSM/TSONs/PMs/whatever should take 2X the same special weapons. Don't mix and match because each special weapon engages different targets.

And I do see your point in the gun matter. I was aiming for dealing with both vehicles and things with a 2+ save, though dual meltaguns would be able to take care of both.

I'd consider swapping the maul on the Lord for a lightning claw, AP4 isn't nearly as useful as AP3 depending on your meta. Chosen are best used as a special weapon platform and even then they're iffy. If you must take a power armoured CC unit consider Slaaneshi marines for tearing loyalists to pieces or Khorne for xenos and guard. Terminators are generally your best bet, though. The idea of rhinos is fast movement, something staying behind cultists inhibits, consider using the cultists as a flanking unit to pick up an objective, a large unit of them will fare suprisingly well in close combat. Finally, dear gods man where's your Apostle? If you don't want to run an actual apostle, consider a count as Sorcerer, Lord or DP.

I've done a bit of research and the LC/PF combo on the Lord seems to be favorable. So I'll be switching to those rather than the previous combo. Alas, I have no more points for marks.

I meant standard marines. Standard marines are about 33% cheaper per model, scoring and get vets for 1 point instead of 2. Slaaneshi marines with the Icon of Excess, vets and a Lord for Fearless are nothing to sniff at. You can be putting 30 attacks with re-rolls to hit on the the board before Loyalists even get to take a swing.

After some sleeping, I've made some alterations to the list. As you can see I went with some of your suggestions ManSandwich. The Lord is still with the Unmarked unit because I'm a little uneasy about putting two powerhouses together. If I was playing against this list I would be pumping firepower into a unit that had beefed up marines and the HQ. So here's what I came up with :
