So I want to make a mono-Nurgle Chaos Daemons army, if I pick up the Tallymen of Nurgle apocalypse formation I can build a full 1000 point list. Here's the list I'll tell you about my worries after;

So all the Plaguebearers are deep striking off of the drones as quickly as possible, I figure that's not a big deal since I won't be able to assault with a unit walking until turn 3 anyways. My hope is to get the Drones to somewhere I can drop my Bearers in terrain for some good cover. And then the drones can charge turn 2, depending on table and a few other things I'm hoping I can milk death's heads for Epidemius tally, praying to the dice gods I can get 7 wounds my first turn. And then hopefully 7 more turn 2 for some beastly charges from bearers turn 3.

Any thoughts at all? I really think the models are disgusting yet gorgeous and therefore make me happy.

I've tried to do a plague drone star with epidemius at 1000 points, and it doesn't work too well.

I did take 3 soul grinders to try and charge the tally, which might have been too much.

Something you could consider is combining your plague drones to make a larger squad and put epidemus with them. Use their jump move to string them out and catch something in cc, and then use the consolidation to drag the slow models in the squad up the board.

Another thing to consider is a herald with FNP. Yes I know tally gives FNP, but you will be waiting a long time for that. If you do make a deathstar style unit, then early FNP can help.

Edit: This said, a plague drone list does have potential in higher points games. It might be able to be pulled off in 1k points, however my lack of experience at using it could have been the problem.

Yeah, the plague drones are more there to drop my plaguebearers where I want, since turn one if I want I can move 12+3d6" which is far enough to take them where I want and then not scatter with the Deep Striking Bearers for a turn 3 charge. The other possibility for them is a turn one charge if I go second, 12" move plus 2d6 Fleet charge, if he moved towards me at all I have a chance.
