A friend of mine refuses to play against my current time daemon list, (and no, I don't run screamer star or anything) so I gave him his choice of picking 1 demonic alignment that I have to use and 1 demonic alignment I'm not allowed to use at all. He said I can not use nurgle (he plays tyranids, and hates the baleswords) and I have to include khorne.

Again, not my tournament list or amything, just want some thoughts

If you have to use Khorne, Flesh Hounds are the tits. They're the tits even without that requirement.

A Herald of Khorne on a juggernaut is awesome as well. They're practically as killy as a daemon prince for half the price. they can also buff your hounds and bring an axe of khorne for ID on a 6. They've always carried their weight for me.

Khorne doesnt really do much for a soul grinder. Since nurgle is out of the question, a Slaanesh Grinder with baleful torrent is probably your best option.

In my meta I find the skull cannon very unappealing. S8 is nice but with lack of low AP or ignores cover I don't feel like they're ever going to do much. I'd take hounds instead.
Bloodletters are pretty much the worst daemon troop choice as well, but as you've said the list isn't uber competitive. I'd still run a daemonettes in their stead just cause i like daemonettes.

All comments aside it looks like a fun list to play, and that's what its all about yeah?

Yea. I agree about the daemonettes honestly. I hate blood letters, but I agreed to do known heavy so why not. The skull cannons are really more for the fact that my letters can charge the squad through cover and strike at init, since they're probably gonna die anyway. Never tried flesh hounds, but I do have a few, might as well give Em a shot. As far as khorne on the grinder, I know it's terrible, just a free upgrade and me being out of points. Otherwise I probably would a went tzeentch for the reroll on saves of 1

Are you taking the Bloodletters because you have too? I ask because looking at your list now I feel like they are just going to get shot to bits. The only real good way to get them into CC (IMO) is to do a threat overload. Throw so much stuff in your opponents face that they either have to ignore the letters or shoot the letters and let something else go unharmed, and right now you don't have that.

I'd either drop the horrors and take more letters or drop the letters and take more horrors. Or maybe even scratch the letters all together and take some hounds or something? That way you are still taking
Khorne stuff, but aren't taking a unit that isnt going to do anything.

Yea. I'm thinking about dropping them for hounds. But then that only leaves me with 2 scoring units which kinda worries me.. maybe drop the 2 skull cannons for some hounds or something. I'll have to play test it. Thanks for the input.

If you want a CC Greater Daemon, take a Lord of Change with a lesser gift (staff) at lvl 3 with 2 greater gifts. If you roll Precognition you now how one of the deadliest cc models in the game.

Flesh hounds with a herald to give them hatred are pretty fantastic and daemonettes and slanneshi Soul Grinders are pretty awesome.

I would like to add some my thoughts:

Dont take skulltaker - it's really nice hq but imo its useless if you dont have luck - all squad of bloodletters with Skulltaker will die quickly. Half? of them will reach enemy and with demonic instabilityskulltaker can be easy wipe out

And isn't better to take torrent instead of phlegm on khorne soulgrinder? I took in 2 last game and deep strike him. He did much more with torrent than with phlegm (or i just had really bad luck).

Also - hounds are really great. If they reach enemy they will eat them. And your opponent have to focus hounds hard if he dont want to fight with them but they aren't so easy to kill with T4 and 2 wounds (and maybe with inv 3+ if you use Grimoire on squad).

Yea. I've been thinking of getting rid of skull taker and the skull cannons for a Herald on a juggernaut and some hounds. Or maybe Karanak instead of the herald. I'm gonna play test it on sunday. I'm also thinking of, as a troll list, this has nothing to do with the topic, but 4 slaanesh heralds on exalted chariots and 9 exalted chariots, and give all the heralds etherblades, for the lolz
