So, I've been doing pretty well with my CSM army recently, polishing proven and trying out new tactics. The thing is, I've been thinking about starting a small secondary army since quite some time, and which I actually might be able to afford in the near future. Through the methodical process of elimination, I've come up with Dark Eldar.

Here's a list I've come up with after doing some research and skimming the Codex several times.
Spoiler:

HQ:
1 Archon, 110 pts. (Agoniser, Shadow Field)

Troops:
10x Kabalite Warriors, 100 pts. (Splinter Cannon)
10x Kabalite Warriors, 100 pts. (Splinter Cannon)
10x Kabalite Warriors, 100 pts. (Splinter Cannon)

Dedicated Transport:
1 Venom, 65 pts. (Splinter Cannon)
1 Raider, 70 pts. (Splinter Racks)
1 Raider, 70 pts. (Splinter Racks)
1 Raider, 70 pts. (Splinter Racks)

Elites:
4x Incubi, 88 pts.

Heavy Support:
1 Ravager, 115 pts. (Night Shields)
1 Ravager, 115 pts. (Night Shields)

Total: 1003 pts.

The idea behind that army is that Kabalite Warriors are inside the Raiders, and the Archon with his retinue of Incubi take the Venom. I keep speeding across the board shooting things to death, and potentially unleash the Archon and Incubi on a certain target to butcher them in CC. The odd 3 points are not a problem in my gaming group.

What do you think about that army?

P.S.
Here's some context: my usual gaming group is semi-competitive (we like to win and tweak what we have, but no netlists and the like in here), and consists of:
- Necrons: Battleforce + Overlord & Annihilation Barge, plans to expand with another Battleforce
- Dark Angels: mostly Deathwing Terminators + a Land Raider Crusader, sometimes uses DA stuff from Dark Vengeance as well
- Tyranids: Flyrant with TL Devourers, Tervigon, 3 Zoanthropes, 2 Venomthropes, 2 Carnifexes, Exocrine, lots and lots of Termagants and Hormagaunts

If you want to run the incubi I would recommend a Phantasm Grenade Launcher on the archon to give them assault grenades.

If you drop them you could run something like this which I think would play better with the tactic you have in mind since you have the added safety of more veichles, longer range and also nightshields on everything.

Haemonculus, venom blade, shattershard (just for fun)

4x, 5 warriors, venom, sc, ns
3 wracks, venom, sc, ns

3x ravager, ns

Echo the phantasm grenade launcher idea. I would also add that you should drop 1 Incubi for a Haemo to give them feel no pain off the bat.

If you are planning on moving up the board I would suggest you change the warriors to wracks because your vehicles are made of spit and paper. It's entirely possible to lose most of the warriors should a venom explode.

Most people like to play sit back and shoot with DE which is fine because of the night shields. If you want to move up you need to look at coven units.

Just make sure anything expensive like incubi have fnp off the bat or that expensive unit will get shredded.

I honestly don't think incubi have a place in a 6th edition DE list. The only real assault unit in the codex is the beast pack. Either run it big as a death star or run it small (5 khymarae and 4 razorwings is a favorite of mine).

DE need to keep things cheap as they tend to die easy and its better to have more OK units then a few BETTER units, because they both die about the same.

Competitively I agree, they die too easily but in fun games over a few beers they are good fun.

I'd rather take an Archon over a Haemonculus, but that's mostly due to "appeal". I wouldn't want to play units that are better, but which I don't really like.

Kabalites in Raiders and Ravagers are the core of the list around which I've built the rest, that is, added more of the aforementioned and then the HQ with retinue, to be honest. My idea was that I soften up the enemies from a distance and heavily utilise the abundant terrain cover on my usual gaming board during the first half of the game, and "go for the kill" later, when the most dangerous things are (hopefully) dead. That would help to alleviate the issue of low durability.

I'm aware that Incubi aren't the best choice. The reasons I want to take them are:
1. Ablative wounds with a 3+ save for the Archon
2. Pretty choppy if they get into CC
3. They may take a Venom for them and the Archon to ride in

I don't want to be durable. I want to flood the opponent with overwhelming firepower and explode the moment his men look at mine funny

I meant take the Archon, haemo and 3 incubi in 1 venom. The haemo can take a huskblade if you want him choppy. Normally I'd just give mine a agoniser though.

This is interesting, I'll consider this.
