So this is my list for a kinda fluffy Chaos Marine army. It's a traitor legion so many many marine bodies and not many options. Sure it would perform decently.

Have the two 10man squads in rhinos to secure objectives, two 20 man squads for massed bolter fire. 15 man raptor and 10 man chaos terminator squads for deep striking into an opponents backline or to clear an objective ready for a marine squad to take over.

The Hellbrute is there because he's pretty much a renamed dreadnaught and i'll be using a converted dreadnaught model or maybe something off forge world as a dreadnaught model will fit my guys fluff better than using some daemon looking thing.

Then last of all i have my 2 tanks. 1 Vindicator for long ranged shelling of whatever it is it happens to hit and a chaos predator fully lasgunned up for sniping of targets.

I have a feeling i'll lose to flyer heavy IG lists or flyers in general. Along with anything armour heavy as i lack a lot of high str weapons outside of my own armour which i doubt will stick around very long. So ideas and such are very much welcome. Remember, i am sticking as close as i can to a massed marines legion. So cutting too many marines for options i'm not keen on.

I have thought of dropping the pred for a 2nd vindicator freeing me up a good 25pts for options elsewhere.

Convert a thunderstormtalon whatever the gunship is to count as a helldrake w the autocannon? should fix your flyer problems.

I had thought of that. But where would i find those 170pts. It's a big chunk of points for 1 model and i kinda set myself a limit of never spending over 150pts on 1 model. Came close with that Predator though.

What sort of flyers did they use during the Heracy era? I mean i'm not going to be using heracy era models for every marine but for big models it might be nice to get a good idea?
