I'm a big fan of the Tie Bomber. Or rather, I want to be. I see there's potential there, but I have no idea what I'm doing when playing these fellas. Maybe playing interceptor builds so much has spoiled me.

How do you guys get good use out of your Bombers?

Put Munition Failsafe on them when the Z-95 comes out?

I also played against someone who ran a Shuttle and 3 bombers. I can't remember the exact setup, but basically the shuttle floated up, got locks on my fighters, and then passed those locks onto the bombers which then proceeded to hammer my guys from afar.

It was satisfying when Vader shoved a cluster missile right into the shuttle's bridge.

I've only used them once (I actually have only played Imps once, primarily rebel as my only opponent plays Imps exclusively), I ran 2x scimitar squadron and 1 of the characters (forget which, it was irrelevant as I never got to use him the way I intended). For the most part I flew around slowly just shooting my targets w my primary attack and soaking damage (IIRC, the other ships in my squadron were set up to increase their survivability somehow) until my opponent mistepped and clustered in too closely around me... then the three of them dropped their payload (I think 2x proton bombs 1x seismic charge, but i cant recall as it was a while ago) and scooted out of their, game ended as my opponent lost 2 tie fighters, an interceptor and a lambda shuttle from that alone (I believe the lambda was already heavily damaged).

I have successfully run Capt Jonas and 3 gamma bombers. Jonas had swarm tactics, assault missiles, and seismic charge.

The gammas had 2 w/protons, the third with assault missiles and seismic charge.

To run this list you have to be able to get missiles and torps off on turn two. Then you have to stay close (range 1) to maximize your continued shooting.

You try and concentrate all fire at same target until it goes down, but targets of opportunity works as well.

You have 24 hulls which is quite a bit of damage you can absorb.

Munition Failsafe is going to be pretty dang fun when it comes out.
