Given the awesomeness of the new AM codex, I am going to start an army. I would like to build up to 2000 points at first. After that I will add here and there.

2 x Vendetta

3 x Battle LR (magnetize options)

3 x Demolisher LR (magnetize options)

40 x Veterans (8 w/plasma)

2 x Wyverns

3 x Priest

3 x Primaris Psyker

2 x Chimera

1 x Shadowsword (magnetize options)

I am looking for input on what I should prioritize (I can only spend about 300 a month on this hobby before I get in trouble) and what I should add or drop. I think this is a good place to start.

Definitely gonna need at least 2 more chimera for your last 20 vets

You can save some money on the Russes by sticking to Demolisher kits and getting the LRBT frame rather than the whole tank. That way your tanks will be magnetized for all variants without needing spare chassis.

You'll want a command squad, almost guaranteed, so you can play with orders.

Vets should have triple of whatever special weapon you like. If you're going pure plasma on 40 vets, you'll need 12 guns.

Heavy weapons teams are very handy, though I favor them in a platoon rather than with vets. Being ready to get a platoon later would be smart. If you can recycle your vets, that just means an extra command squad and those heavy weapons.

I also favor allying Tempestus for deep striking scoring units. That means Scions.

PS: Two of the Cadian Defense Force packs would get you a bunch of stuff you wanted, and should be cheaper than getting them individually. That's 40 troops, 6 heavy weapon teams, 2 Russes, 2 Chimeras, and 2 command squads for $330. Even if you're not pumped about command squads or heavy weapons, it might be about the same price anyway.
