I've now got about a dozen or so games under my belt at 15 points with my Cygnar. I am currently finishing up a couple models to take me to 20 points and wanted some advice bumping up to 25. For reference my list is as follows:

pStryker
-lancer
-charger
-stormclad
Squire

B13

I'm looking at adding a unit of infantry next and was eyeing the stormblades. I know they aren't the most survivable and need a bit of support, but I really like the models and fluff surrounding them. Due to points I won't be adding the UA or WA until I grow my list some more. Any suggestions on alternatives?

Instead of the blades, maybe drop the charger and grab a unit of boomhowlers instead? They're tougher and more of a tar pit, but don't hit nearly as hard from what I've seen. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

If not taking the UA for the Stormblades then personally I feel they would not be worth it. Boomhowlers are a good tarpit but you would need Murdoch to take advantage of his feat. Stormlances are an option

I'd say that if you're taking the stormclad then bring stormblades for the free focus. That being said you'll have to be careful with them because they die easily. Perhaps if you dropped the charger and added something like Rupert, or Stormblade captain. Since they're each 2 points you could take both of them. Captain doesn't make them tougher but lets them move and draw LOS through each other. Rupert can give them tough. Plus if you buy the plastic stormblade kit you can add the WA when you want to expand again. Tough will at least save the stormblades sometimes. Dropping the charger also helps with focus as do the stormblades when they give the stormclad a focus.
