hello! I would like to thank you all for answering my painting questions I kept asking. Many of you said I should post pictures. This is the first time I have ever painted anything and with the advice i got on here and youtube I think they came out pretty good! the psykers and the dreadknight are the most recent finished models.

These were taken with my phone. My wife is a photographer but seems to have no interest in helping with pictures =/ lol oh well haha.
Maybe I will work my charms and get her to get some better photos for you guys!

For being new thats a heck of a first effort. I'll be even more impressed if you get your wife to help you though!

I must say, for a first time painter, these are quite fantastic! Your brush control is really good,and you've used a nice variety of colours, but not too many. I really enjoy the purple with the silver of the Grey Knights, good choice!

If I were to make one suggestions, it would be to thin down your paints a bit. You want them to be around the same consistency as milk. This way, although you'll have to use a few layers to get the same solid colour, your details won't be as blotted out, and you'll have a much nicer, smoother finish.

Solid first job though!

I really think you should consider converting a land raider and add a rotory blade set to the front. It'd make an awesome "kohrne husker"

I would also suggest switching water when you do metalics... the vindicare is a little shiny and i think it may be because you used the same water... love the dreadknight tho

Not bad at all for a new painter. My only suggestion would be to thin down your paints with some thinner or water. This will make it so that the model doesn't look chunky and the details aren't covered up by thick layers of paint.

Thanks all for replies! Will water down paints more in the future. Vindcare and the inquisitor both were freshly hit with varnish at this point so look glossy. Haha.

Maybe I will make a khorne husker... although they suck =)
