Basically going to a 1000 point tournament in July and wanting to take space wolves but I want to know what's the cheesiest things to add to two squads of grey hunters two rhinos and a rune priest, that comes to roughly 500 points giving me 500 to play with.

Copy and paste, but with Drop Pods instead of Rhinos. Put both Rune Priests there.

what about GH with banner and terminator, unbeatable in C&C.

At 1850, I had great luck with this all comers list:

Captain - bike, artificer, shield eternal, thunder hammer
7 bikes - 2 grav, combi grav, melta bombs
4 bikes - 2 grav, combi grav, attack bike with multi melta
4 bikes - 2 melta, combi melta, attack bike with multi melta
Stormtalon - skyhammer
Stormtalon - skyhammer

Rune priest in terminator armor, combi melta
8 wolf guard in power armor, 8 combi melta, 2 wolf guard in terminator armor w/ combi meltas and chainfists, drop pod
8 grey hunter - melta, powerfist, banner, drop pod
8 grey hunter - melta, powerfist, banner, drop pod
Rune priest in a pod and a terminator in each other pod. Just kill gak.

The Wolves part is 840 points.

So for 1000 points:
Rune priest inpower armor
7 wolf guard in power armor, 5 combi melta, 3 wolf guard in terminator armor w/ combi meltas and chainfists, drop pod
8 grey hunter - melta, powerfist, banner, drop pod
8 grey hunter - melta, powerfist, banner, drop pod
5 long fangs - 3 missles, 2 las cannons

That is pretty solid there. Stick the priest with the fangs for divination.

You really need Drop Pods and Jaws of the World Wolf to max out the cheesiness.

You have 3 Drop Pods come down first turn, allowing you to cast Jaws 3 times before your opponent can react. This absolutely wrecks Tyranids, Necrons, and Tau. It works fairly well against Marines. Your opponents will have a very tough time casting Psychic Powers thanks to your impressive network of Rune Weapons.

If for some reason you don't have Drop Pods, I would try to shove as many bodies and Rhinos as you can at your opponent to overwhelm them. Something like:

Thanks for the reply guys iv already got one rhino that's why I was going to go down that route. Just looking at the codex now so I'll post up what I come up with when iv finished.

After a quick look through the codex how does this sound for a very rough list

Rune priest

10 grey hunters, standard, 2 multi meltas
Rhino

10 grey hunters, standard, 2 plasma guns
Rhino

10 grey hunters, standard, 2 plasma guns

6 long fangs, 1 squad leader 3 missile launcher, 2 lascannon

5 long fangs, 1 squad leade, 3 heavy bolters, 1 missile launcher

It works out at 980 so iv still got 20 points left but if I don't have the second long fangs squad I'll have 120 left I could spend on a 6 man scout squad with 5 snipers and a missile launcher to add some more range support or a 7 man grey hunter squad with a plasma gun to keep back for closer objectives ????

My plan would be to keep the rune priest with the long fangs for prescience and move up flat out with the rhino in the first turn and see how it goes from there ?
