So I just played a game with my traktor mules and had a question about their guided fire mode. I understand to fire in this mode the target must be marked by a forward observer. My question is, in this firing mode will the traktor mules rockets hit the marked target regardless of line of fire to the Traktor mule? Or must this shot qualify as a speculative shot (even though traktor mules are not allowed to make spfcualtive shots in normal firing mode). My thought was tha a marked target merely allows the mule to fire without A BS roll.... But another person I play with thinks this allows guided shots.

Any help appreciated.

Here's three pages on the subject. The wiki refers to a "guided shooting mode" and "guided shots" so he's not unreasonable in thinking that. The consensus at the end of the thread leaned toward guided, too.

An FO marked guided shot does NOT require LoF.
The order used to fire these, is NOT a speculative shot (as spec shots have modifiers and NO hit-roll is made, modified or otherwise - just an order spent).

The only differences between the trak mul firing them and any other GML in guided mode iare that you are limited to 3 (5 for the others) and that the trak's shots in guided mode CAN'T be hacked.
