With the new book release,I've been spurred into finishing the paint job on my collection of Cadians.

My old army has everything you see here minus the psyker and snipers in at 1850 points. The flamers from the SWS were in the PCS...

I've gone from having 2 platoons with 3 blobs of 20, 2 PCS and HWS to 1 x 30, 1 x 20 & 1 x 10 + friends by swapping weapons from squad to squad and I think I'm pleased with how it looks on paper.

Can't wait to give it a bash.

Just a question: why did you go with the Exterminator over a Vanquisher? Would not the Vanquisher cannon be better for tank hunting (the thing has multi meltas and a Lascannon. I can't see it doing much else) than the autocannons of the Exterminator?

I think it was a bit of an in-betweener.

It was one of the last things I bought for my army and I guess I didn't feel like I lacked AT or AI so I plucked for something that could be adaptable... I know that can be a sin to some people but it fills the multi-role quite well.

High rate of fire and good accuracy mixed with the hull guns can make transports/light vehicles dissapear. The turret is neat for supplementing my anti-air and it can still rattle infantry or heavy armour if no better targets are available.

I think its the high rate of fire over the lucky one-shot that I like... they both have their merits and flaws.

For expanding to 2500 I'm going to round out with a Tank command squad... now that WILL be a vanquisher squadron! with just hull lascannons... If only we could have sponson lascannons
