I am converting Space Marine/Chaos Space Marine Rhino's into a DA army and I wanted to spray paint the logo onto the vehicles. I don't own an airbrush and was wondering if there would be any issue spraying the logo on with white primer on top of the black primer which I am planning on using as the primary color for the vehicles?

Not strictly decals, they're water slide transfers, but yes, I've done this myself, although admittedly with rattle can paint rather than primer (primer tends to be a bit flat, and looks a bit odd next to paint, which tends to be a bit more satin)

Just get some frisked film to make your masks and have a go!

I was mostly thinking of making my own. Was gonna cut a picture out and then hold it over the spot and spray away. unless there is an easier way

So - stencils are what you are after...not decals.

You can make one shot stencils by cutting out you logo in frisket film, painters tape or even just on paper. You can also do more durable stencils by cutting the logo in a material like silicone or vinyl sheets and even etched brass.

It isn't too difficult to make the stencil - though using them can be a bit tricky at first. The easiest ones are adhesive backed materials like frisket films and tapes. Without any adhesive backing though, you will often have paint get under the edges of the stencil.
