Alright, so for a little bit, I plan to stick to at least one caster per faction for now (Which is Menoth, Mercs, and Skorne, although I plan to play Menoth with this caster for now until I buy some of the other things) since I am still kind of new and not broken in yet. And for Menoth, I am planning to use pSeverius even though he seems a bit of a crutch caster.
For this list ladder, I am leaning towards a list that is majorly good at taking care of infantry with spell-slinging and powered up Zealots and decent on scenario, but can take care of jacks to some degree. I am going to probably lean towards kind of Infantry heavy with a good amount of Jacks in the lists as well.
Here is my 25 points list:
System: Warmachine
Faction: Protectorate of Menoth
Casters: 1/1
Points: 25/25
Grand Scrutator Severius (*6pts)
* Reckoner (8pts)
* Vanquisher (8pts)
* Hierophant (2pts)
Choir of Menoth (Leader and 3 Grunts) (2pts)
Holy Zealots (Leader and 9 Grunts) (6pts)
* Holy Zealot Monolith Bearer (2pts)
The Wrack (3 wracks) (1pts)
Vassal of Menoth (2pts)
35 points list:
System: Warmachine
Faction: Protectorate of Menoth
Casters: 1/1
Points: 35/35
Grand Scrutator Severius (*6pts)
* Revenger (6pts)
* Reckoner (8pts)
* Vanquisher (8pts)
* Hierophant (2pts)
Choir of Menoth (Leader and 3 Grunts) (2pts)
Holy Zealots (Leader and 9 Grunts) (6pts)
* Holy Zealot Monolith Bearer (2pts)
Rhupert Carvolo, Piper of Ord (2pts)
The Covenant of Menoth (2pts)
The Wrack (3 wracks) (1pts)
Vassal of Menoth (2pts)
And then my 50 pts list:
System: Warmachine
Faction: Protectorate of Menoth
Casters: 1/1
Points: 50/50
Grand Scrutator Severius (*6pts)
* Revenger (6pts)
* Reckoner (8pts)
* Vanquisher (8pts)
* Hierophant (2pts)
Choir of Menoth (Leader and 5 Grunts) (3pts)
Exemplar Errants (Leader and 9 Grunts) (8pts)
* Exemplar Errant Officer & Standard Bearer (2pts)
Holy Zealots (Leader and 9 Grunts) (6pts)
* Holy Zealot Monolith Bearer (2pts)
Reclaimer (2pts)
Rhupert Carvolo, Piper of Ord (2pts)
The Covenant of Menoth (2pts)
The Wrack (3 wracks) (1pts)
Vassal of Menoth (2pts)
Vassal of Menoth (2pts)

First list, 25pts is always tight, but I think you've got a good start there. Seems good to me.
In the second list, where you have Rhupert and the Covenant (great combo with Def Ward as always), I'd really try to work the Errants in there rather than the Zealots. They just make it go that much further in my opinion. I'd say the easiest thing to pick off there for the points would be the Heirophant really.
The third list is a pretty nice package to work towards, in my opinion. I'm really liking the look of that.
I just wonder, since you're focussing on Sevvy, whether it would be worth your while to buy/proxy Blessings of Vengeance instead of the Revenger, as his affinity with Sevvy really makes Ashes-to-Ashes painful. While it'd be hard to find that extra point in the 35pt list, here either the Reclaimer or Heirophant could happily be poached for a point, and then you'd just have to decide on whether you'd want on of the Vassals to become a 3pt solo (like Nicia or even Tristan Durant) or to add in a Mechanik (not great... but when he's useful, he's very useful).

I was thinking of buying the card for Blessing of Vengeance and convert it just from a base Revenger to save a bit of money. I can see your point with the Errants so I might give them a go, although for some reason I have been having a preference over them for Zealots. Something with Fervor up with Eye of Menoth is just balls out silly but fun.
