ITaly finally is here.
Lets talk about strategies, list etc. MAybe make this the offical spot for the italy game here.

Sorry, to say this but we need some good shop talk. This newb stuff is getting very redundant to me.I can only talk about wrong paint jobs so much.
All i can say on that subject is try to make them close. This is not a 40k Gay Pride parade. It is ww2.

I have mixed feelings about the German Italy book. From "pick up" game approach, the Italy book is wanting. The units there typically were on the bottom end of the supply line so don't end up with the Panther Horde, but you also don't have a lot of tools available.

I played the hell out of the Cassino FJ list and really enjoyed the ability to have a unit of Marders and Hornisee with it. It gave just enough punch to deal with the occaisional run in with heavy soviet front armor and the odd Jumbo. Now that same list only has access to Ferdis.

I will admit that I wasn't the best researched to determine if Hornisee were actually available, but Ferdis are just too restrictive on points in a FV list. I've exploring other builds with either a second unit of Marders or maybe some Tigers.

Well I've worked out three lists from the book, 2 allied (a NZ infantry and a 6th Armoured lis) and 1 axis (26th Panzer), a few of my mates are also involved, (HG panzer, FJ's, elephants, italians, british/polish inf and US ARC) really looking forward to it,

I sen the guidelines are up they look ok i guess.I was hoping for a more open format hollywood style. So i will still be particapating just not as much as we did in Overlord.
i think i would be a little more fun if it was open format, that was the main thing that keeps me playing and enjoying FOW.
Even though when i started playing it reminded me of 40k and Epics ww2 basterd child. I guess my bigest gripeis the Fire power checks, they just really suck.I they need to really give it a overhaul,i hate to say this but more of a 40k style where you get a cver save instead.I can understand the fire power check for armor,But this crap of having them for cver just sucks and this would discourage alot of campers and yes,i do all of the stratagies for that, but hell i have rollup on a platoon dug in rolled a ridicoulus amount of dice and only killed one WTF,No wonder my group wants to overhaul some the rules for us.
Time to get off my soap box.

REaver i think i found a solution to your time machine dilema,Just wait on the Chineese recast.
