My collection is slowly outgrowing the plastic box I bought from Target and filled with cardboard for dividers. It's gotten to the point that I have to use the foam from the PP blisters to have two layers of troops, and alexia and the risen take an entire layer. Does anyone know if the 30 dollar battlefoam economy bag is any good or if there's a good alternative? I have one heavy jack (soon to be two), two light jacks, four casters, about 5-7 solos (I'm counting Aiyana and Holt as mostly a solo since that's how they're used) , and then I have a seven, eight, and 13 man unit. If anyone has some suggestions on what to do I'd greatly appreciate it.

I use Battlefoam PP trays and put them into big old plastic bins.

I'm currently using two of these (the interlocking clips are nice), and the bluFoam is the best pluck foam I've ever had. I bought from Miniature Market to save a bit off the advertised price since no one local carries it.

Harbor Freight has some great cases with pluck foam. And they are often on sale for 30-ish bucks. If not find their coupons. They are all over and usually for at least 20% off.

They will easily hold a 35 point army. The tool pocket inside works great for tapes, cards, etc if you pull out some of the stitches. I also store my books behind the tool pouch.

This is a very good idea. I finally broke down and bought a Battlefoam bag to carry my army with. It's just such a nicer way to do things since I was moving things around in tupperware containers and was constantly terrified of breaking things/didn't bother to paint anything. Plus you can store the models in the bag when you're not using them. As for just buying the trays to store miniatures, that seems like a fine idea.
The only thing I've had issues with is both times I've ordered from them I've had to call their customer service and poke them because my order took so long to process. I guess they really are a small company with too many orders to really handle. Their service was really nice both times. The guy basically said "I'm really sorry. I have no idea why this hasn't shipped yet. I'll tag it for immediate review and it should ship by the end of the week."

I get them from Discountgamesinc.com. He keeps most of them in stock and his shipping is ridiculously cheaper than Battlefoam's (oh and the owner is Jay from Chain-Attack)

I'm giving kr multicase a try and just ordered one of their cardboard boxes. I used to have battlefoam, but the bag disintegrated and wanted to give cheaper alternatives a try.
I'm not afraid to spend money to protect my minis, but there's better cost to storage and protection ratios than BF, and I don't like the form factor on the 720 cases.

I second KR Multicase. They are much cheaper and have IMO better foam than Battlefoam. The foam is soft and squishy and really hugs my miniatures. You can easily fit a rather large sized warmahordes army into one KR card case.

I'm using KR for most of my models (should be about 95% of them once I get them all packed down) and am satisfied. I would be perfectly happy with KR if it wasn't for one of the locks on one of my tripple ALU cases being broken - it had it's pass code changed during transportation while being locked so I had to force it open with a screwdriver and can now no longer lock it properly.
Over all I prefer to use more spacious storage for my models since I find snug foam slots tend to break fragile stuff like the crossbow limbs on Mage Hunter Strike Force or the halberd shafts on Scibor Marines (really good models, but the resin they use make their pole weapon really really fragile).
For Warjacks I use Eldar War Walker foam, not the circular one, but the larger square one. It's a bit too spacious and a bit precarious, but I find that two myrmidons get along nicely in one compartment without very much wear.
The cardboard boxes are storage boxes. Don't buy them for long-term transportation. ALU half or single cases are ideal for Warmachine transportation.

Portable Warfare is what I use as well, though mine is filled with Sabol foam(since I already had a bunch of the Sabol foam). It's a great affordable transport bag that will hold a couple of lists' worth of models without needing to fork out the $$$$$$ for Battlefoam.
