I have just brought the Dreadball Kick-off set for a pretty awesome price, new and sealed. This may be a silly question, does it come with hex bases for the teams?

Sadly no. Though they aren't 100% neccessary, especially with the two teams in the box. They're pretty steady on their feet and they're looking in obvious directions.
