Had my first Late war tournament on Saturday. Was alot of fun and learned so much more about the game. Thanks to Econtutor I was able to put a list together that for my first event was a lot of fun to play simple to know the rules and allowed me to have a good time. I am certainly going to change things around some and I have a butt load of infantry models that are on the paint bench so cant wait to make a list with them.
I did ok at the tournament. I drew horribly as in the guy I played first actually won the whole thing but I did better than ok against him and in the end it turned out that I should of won that match. It should of been 5/2 me but they did 5/2 him since I didn't realize according to the scenario we were playing he never held an objective he killed 1 of my teams and I killed 1 of his. I was on both objectives at the end of round 6 and he had some infantry at 1 but I was surrounding them with 3 units. But hey was first tournament ever and I had fun. Also I seriously misplayed my Pumas on this Game and should of made it so he never got this tank destroyers in action since he was in the wide open and I just ran down the board and he popped them out shooting me in the butt. But live and learn with more experience.

My Army List used for tournament:
HQ

2 Panther G

Combat Platoons
3 Panther G
5 Panzer IV H

Support
2 Mobelwagen
1 Puma Panzerspah patrol

Pics from first game.

Second match I played his brother and we duked it out to a 4/3 finish with me being on top.
That was a great match up and I did a awesome move that caught everyone by surprise when I put my 3 pumas surrounding his AT jeeps and there was small forest on other side of that was my 2 HQ Panthers. So he had very little room and when he popped out the Anti Tanks he could only bring 2 on the table instead of all 4 so he lost those 2. Next turn I pulverized them with rear shots from my Pumas.

Not many shots from this tournament as I was really trying hard to do well on it.

Panzer IV holding an objective as he moves his infantry in to swarm my platoon. He never made it as I kept him at bay with all the Panzers and Mobelwagen shooting at his platoon.

He only got those 2 in as my Pumas held one side and the Panthers the other.

3rd game was playing against an army from the new Italian book. He had off board Destroyer that was just destroying my tanks on each turn. Lots of terrain ended up allowing him to put his AOP out of view of my Mobelwagens. Which really started to irritate me. He killed my pumas one round and my HQ section the next. That game we ended up in a tie however 2/2.
All in all was a great tournament and looking forward to my next one. Was a blast.
