So I'm starting Blood Angels. The guys at my local GW have helped me think of a list. The list they really like is a death star list. Go for the table. This is the polar opposite of my current army Nurgle Black Legion where I am just plain tougher than you and I'm going to out last you. I'd like some input on this list, and how I can run it most effectively. Thanks in advance for all help.

So Memphiston is going in one Strom Raven. Dread is goinging in the other. Corbulo is going with the Termies. I haven't decided on the redeemer or crusader land raider for the termites yet. I'd like some input their. I like the regular land raider for its lascannons so I can remove a problem target turn one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any tips for running this type of list would also be of great assistance.

No scoring! In the new edition if you give the DC a rhino that rhino will be scoring but until then...

Your Stormravens going into hover mode will be their undoing. sorry.

The list was ideally designed just to kill. to go for the tabling. I have no problem with having Mephiston jump from the raven. I'm not worried about difficult terrain on Memphiston. I would need to roll two ones in a row. It happens. But it isn't likely. Even then its Memphiston. He'll be fine.

And you are taking biomancy?

Why don't you put the dread and mephy in the raven and go into hover mode? then one won't have to go into hover, and they can both assault.

I am taking biomancy. And that is a good idea about the raven. why didn't think of that. lol

With the new unbound ruleset coming out this 24th with 7th edition he does not need troops.

He will still be light on scoring. Death Company and DC dreads have a special rule that they do not score.

I don't think unbound makes everything scoring...

On a seperate note, you cant fit that DC squad into a basic LR as lemartes is bulky due to his jp.
I would change the tl las on the ravens to tl ac. Mathematically they are better against absolutely everything and range doesnt matter so much on a flyer.
Drop the standard LR down to a redeemer and drop the magna grapple of the dc dread as a talon dread who is assaulting from a raven doesn't need it. This saves you 25pts.
Get a fist for the dc squad. The extra 4 st9 attacks on the charge that can't be challenged out make them more versatile.

In fact, with the changes I suggested, I have run this exact list except without the heavy flamer on the dc dread and without lemartes. Instead I took a chaplian and 3 more dc. All with bp&ccw though. Also the termis rode in the redeemer whilst the dc rode in the crusader as they were 14men inc the chappy.
I used it twice and tabled twice. Against Eldar and DA. Admittedly it was before the new eldar dex dropped so there was no serp shield or psudo-rending shinanigans. AND at the time eldar and DA were 2 of only 3 dexes which were as weak as BA (which eldar aren't any more), the other being orks.
