hey all on a whim i just brought the retribution battle box, and would like adivce on where to go from here, tho admittedly dawn guard sentinels are deffo on the list!


i'm already a menoth player (there little menoth units i dont have these days) and a legion player.

Well I personally turned the Manticore into discordia with the upgrade kit, put away the chimera, and bought a bunch of stuff for Ravyn (MHSF and ranged units)... As for dawnguard sentinals...

I hear they have synergy with Vyros1, Garryth, and Ossyan.

They also don't mind the boost to survival that the discordia model pops out. They have good armor for our faction, with defensive line and discordia's bonus they get immunity to blasts, and a total ARM of IIRC 19 vs ranged attacks. Get the UA for the sentinals while you are at it. The drive: Pronto is ridiculous. Take that griffon, give it an arcanist, watch your army have a 19 inch threat range with a light warjack missile. The vengeance works well with mirage that Garryth has: You do the vengence move and attack, then you mirage away letting you effectively attack twice in a turn... with weapon masters.

So if you go with Garryth, get the disco upgrade kit, your sentinels and UA, and an arcanist and jack marshal your griffon to the sentinels. You still have tons of points to spend so whatever fills the needs of the list at this point (you probably need arcane assassin able models due to garryth's feat).

I'm not a real competitive player at this point in time, I'm sure there are better players out there that can give better advice.
