Are you saying that people who self-identify as something other than their current biological state shouldn't do so? And that in doing so they are displaying a mental illness?

What does that actually mean in your mind though? I mean, kudos, you know it's in the DSM, slow clap and all that, but you know that doesn't mean it's bad right?

It's not a case of 'ooh they identify as a girl when they have man parts, lets fix them so they think they are a man again', you actually need to treat them in a way that isn't going to cause them permanent damage (which I can almost guarantee 'fixing them so they think right' will do). So while, technically, it's a psychological disorder according to the DSM, it and similar issues are different in terms of treatment to disorders like schizophrenia and the like
