So?

I don't have my codex on me so I might be off on points But I would think something like:

1 suit MP/PR/MT/ AKA "Fireknife" (62 or 67pts, I can't remember)
1 suit TLMP/Drone controller + 2 gun drones (63pts)
1 team leader MP/PR/MT/H.W. TL /H.W. DC + 2 gun drones: (92 or 97pts?)

Total = 217 -227pts (depending on my memory)

I was thinking about putting two of these squads + 1 squad of stealths as my elite choice.

Stealth Team would be:

5 suits + 5 Gun Drones (I saw someone noting that a marker drone would be good but they missed the fact that the marker drones can't move & shoot [PLEASE correct me if I am wrong b/c I would LOVE to be able to use marker drones in the squad])
= 240pts

So... question is: Is this too much dedicated to elites?
634 -654pts, This is based on 1500pt games.

Drano doesn't exactly scream "toy" to me.

On the Crises: one burst from a heavy bolter, and they're checking morale; if enough ap4 hits get in one salvo, you're testing at -1 for below-half, since drones count for morale. Gun drones don't get the controlling unit's stat line like shield drones do, and they're in the majority, so casualties come first from them and use their stat line. If you're going to use the leader's config, go ahead and HW the MT and give him a targetting array.

The Stealths seem like too many points for a limited gain in firepower and a significant loss in ability to hide.

As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Flame On!

i'm thinking upgrades for stealths are still a bad idea. just get more of them, 6x30 pts = 180

fireknives are 62, teamleadre is +5, shield drones are 15 each

so 3 fireknives with 2 shield drones is 221

I think that drones count for 25% morale checks, and for 50% for scoring status but not morale status. It's not clear if they count for Last Man Standing.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
