Spoiler
Spoiler:
Rebs - save what you can kill (leader scour survive)
Enforcers - assassinate (kill commander, kill kill)

Deployment

The 2 mutation counters are to show that there are items in the building and so is the scouting kraaw

Turn 1
Rebs go first
The zee uses a move to PAC man up 2 items (normally we don't allow items to be picked up while sprinting through a square but make an exception for scavengers)
Sorak moved up and blasts the enforcer sniper but rolls no successes for the blast and the sniper laughs
One of the humans and the tera ton move up

Enforcers
Defender moves up and shoots the teraton, at long range he dosent hurt it and the teraton doubles to not get knocked back
Burst laser tries to pin the teraton and does until a steadfast card is played
The sergeant commands the sniper to move one square. The sniper then plays a move card and climbs the guard tower

Rebs
Drone moves up to 1st level to spot
Yndij blazes at the sniper in the tower (draw) the runs to the over of the building
The other human moves inside the gunship and also blazes at the sniper but again their not able to pin him. (Draw)
The commander moves into the building

Enforcers
Last 2 enforcer troops blaze at the teraton and suppress him

Rebs
The forgotten Kraaw charges the enforcer defender and plays a fight card, and is stabbed in the back of the neck (6 successes(s)vs 3s)

With the double the kraaw moves and engages the enforcer trooper who helped to pin the teraton. But he manages to survive (3-4s)

And that was turn one

I'll update with the rest later today

Turn 2

Enforcers
The sniper shoots the sorak who's out in the open (8 dice vs 3) and takes the takes its head off in a fountain of blood(7s vs 2)
The trooper fighting the kraaw attempts to break off playing a break of card the kraaw plays a fight card so it's 4v4 dice, after rolling 3 8's each eventually the enforcer wins by 1s and moves away.
The sergeant then shoots the kraaw in the face before moving up and standing over the dead aliens body.

Rebs
The zee moves up and collects another item
Trenchcoat human goes through one of the windows on the building and grabs a grenade. He then blazes away at the sniper with the help of the other human. They pin the sniper but then a steadfast card is played and the sniper gets back into position.
And the teraton goes from suppressed to pinned

Enforcers
The enforcer trooper who wasn't running from the kraaw moves up and blazes away at the zee. But only draws after getting just one success.
The burst laser enforcer blazes at the reb commander, but the commander dosent even flinch.

Rebs.
The yndij sprints through the building picks up an item then shoots the enforcer who ran from the kraaw and is in clear view. The trooper gets soaked in shots and a lucky bullet gets through injuring him.(5s vs 2s) and making him drop to the ground(pinned on the double).
The commander not wanting to be a target for the sniper stays put and shoots the enforcer burst rifle but misses.

Turn 3

Rebs 2 - Enforcers 2

Enforcers
Sniper takes a shot at the teraton while playing a weak spot card. This was the result.

The blue dice are the sniper's
And the teraton died (shot in the bum of all places)
The burst laser blazes away at the yndij and suppresses him.
The sergeant then charges in.
The yndij plays a fight card And wins the combat with a double and moves into the cover of the building
The non pinned enforcer seeing this blazes away at the reb commander to stop her killing his boss. He succeeds and suppresses her before she pulls a steadfast card and gives him a 1 finger salute.

Rebs.
Commander takes a clear shot at the enforcer srg. The enforcer sergeant gets no successes. But the reb commander only gets 2 only enough to just injure the sergeant and pin him until he plays a steadfast card. (Don't know how the enforces just had so many of these)
The yndij also takes a clear shot. And fails to finish him of so moves out of the way and through the building so the trench coat human can take a clear shot at him.
But again they can't take him down.
So he moves out of the building too.

Enforcers
The pinned trooper uses a courage card, moves up and blazes away at the reb commander. And suppresses her.

Rebs
The last human blazes at the sniper but does nothing.
And the zee starts to make his way back to the deployment zone with his 3 vps worth of items.

Turn 4

Rebs 3 - Enforcers 3

Enforcers
The sniper takes a shot at the zee. And takes its head off.
The injured enforcer trooper moves up and shoots the suppressed commander. And she survives(just)
The burst rifle moves up to the stop barrier with a sprint
And the enforcer player hands activation to the Rebs.

Rebs
Trenchcoat throws the grenade he's picked up at the enforcer srg which hits.

The resulting explosion throws and pins the sergeant to the left. And pins the enforcer trooper and burst laser. .

The yndij get mean and charges the sergeant through the building. And plays a fight card.but draws the combat.
The commander goes from suppressed to pinned.

Enforcers
The uninsured trooper moved up to the barricade and takes a clear shot with a shoot card at trenchcoat through the door.

And trench coat survives.

The sergeant fights the yndij with a fight card.and injures the yndij. He then fights again for free because he doubled him.

The yndij wins this time 2-0. (We stop the fight here as technically a free fight action is earned but that would be a free fight leading to a free fight, and my yndij wasn't going to move away and have the same as what happened to the Kraaw happen to him).

Rebs
The other human tries again to pin the sniper but nothing happens again.

Turn 5

Rebs 4 - Enforcers 4

This should be the last turn. It's now a case of how long until the enforcers win. With the zee and main attacking threats gone for the Rebs.

Enforcers
Sniper shoots the human who's been wasting ammo at him. And another reb killed by the sniper ( that's 4 kills if your counting)
The un-injured trooper takes another clear shot at trenchcoat playing a weak spot card this time. And kills him with 4s vs 2s
The sergeant plays a fight card and goes for the yndij, Who also plays a fight card. And the fight is a draw.
The burst laser gets up and tries to keep the reb leader down. But. The reb commander wins the survival check.

Rebs
the Rebs conceded the game
The yndij wins the fight with the sergeant but dosent hurt him and moves away and we say he gets off the table.
The commander gets up and retreats off her table edge with the survey drone.

Bloodshed on the battlefield

Nice report, thanks for sharing. The layout was easy to read and gave a good indication of the ebb and flow, I'd enjoy more along the same lines.

And now the important bit; where did you get the Clone Trooper dropship from?

The galaxy is littered with the single-planet graveyards of civilisations which made the economically sensible decision not to explore space.

The rest was very enjoyable, Deadzone really is a game that lends itself to awesome stories being told.

Whoever was playing the Rebs (you, I assume?) learned the hard way how brutal the Enforcer Sniper can be if he gets any combination of clear shots, cards or just god luck. I'd go as far as to say he's the best model in the game for the cost. You won't even find it easy to pin him given the number of Steadfast cards the Enforcers have.

I also notice you didn't take a Grogan in the Rebs list. I'd recommend it in future, an AP3 gun that can move/aim and fire in the same activation is amazing for putting down Enforcers on just 2 success margins. Definitely give them a try at some point.

Do you plan to do any more of these? They are certainly worth the effort.

Well done, sir!

I was pulling for the Rebs, as they seem to be the underdogs. Felt a twinge when the Teraton went down.

Very nice work.

Thanks Both

Yea I was playing the Rebs and my mate borrowed my enforcers (and used my default list ). I'm just glad the defender got killed early on so he won't try to copy my complete list.

I've only lost once with my enforcers so far and that was to a space marine home brew list (see the 40k deadzone article discussion)

Enforcers are really tough to take down without ap weapons and your right the sniper is the stand out star of the show I've only not got at least 1 kill with him (see the above comment on space marine test rules). The Order, move card, sprint/climb combo is great because you can normally get him in place to do some damage from turn 2.

And only 1 out of 5 wins with the Rebs, they are really unforgiving if you make a mistake or your opponent gets lucky. You need to keep your opponent pinned with your blast weapons so you can PAC man the board of items and get the teraton only concentrating on one target at a time.

I do normally take a Grogan (desolator or burst and drone) but I wanted to try out the zee and kraaw I just bought, opponents often forget that their tough and are 5+ Fight. ( my convict Grogan took out 2 sage 3s and a dog in a melee once)

The zee is a curious one because it's rubbish and will die in a stiff breeze but also a game winner at the same time because it can get you 3vps in a scour mission if you work it right.

The kraaw was cool with the only enforcer kill of the day but that was partly down to my mate being a numpty and forgetting that the kraaw was there. Now that it's been FAQd to 8 points (saw today I wasn't cheating) I don't know if I will be able to keep him in the list.

Yeah, I have to +1 that the Enforcer Sniper is pants-on-head brutal. That's why I run two, and have no friends.

Nice reporting, hope to see more!!

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
