I've got a windfall of cash coming my way soon, and I've decided to dedicate some of that to improving my laptop. I'm using a Dell Latitude D630 with a NVIDIA Quadro NVS 135M videocard and 2 GBs of RAM. As you'd expect, FPS is very low - 20 FPS is pretty much the best I can get in game, and when I'm in an indoor environment with lots of NPCs, the FPS drops down to a nearly unplayable 2-8. Plus I get random crashes, freezeups, and lag/stuttering, even though I run the graphics at the lowest possible settings. I suppose it's a testament to the greatness of the game that I've logged dozens of hours playing it with all of these issues, but I'm pretty tired of fighting my computer.
So, what videocard do you guys recommend? I've heard that the NVIDIA 570 is a good bet, though it's a little out of my price range. I'm perfectly happy to play with the graphics set to low, so the 570 would probably be overkill for my needs.
Thanks!
~Tim?

If the card is integrated I'm not sure buying a new card is something that will even work. Generally speaking updating a laptop is restricted to RAM upgrades, given their integrated nature.
Are you opposed to putting the money towards a newer laptop?

Generally speaking, customizing a laptop is not really a thing. The hardware is extremely restrictive due to space inside the housing, lots of hardware only fits one chassis design. Heck, you cant just go out and buy whatever hardware you want like you can with a desktop and laptop hardware will be universally more expensive than gaming grade desktop hardware. I have an ASUS G74sx gaming laptop that was the top of the line laptop at the time, it cost 1700$. My three year old desktop outperforms it and cost me 1000$. Having a laptop is cool for mobility and all, but to get a good gaming laptop, you are going to spend some serious $$$ vs a gaming desktop. If you do not absolutely need the mobility, do not waste your time and money with a laptop.

I agree that a new laptop might be the way to go.
I recently bought a MSI GT70, with Intel i7 processor, 8 Gig RAM, and a dedicated Geforce GTX 780 with 3 Gig dedicated GPU RAM for 1050 euros (approx. 1420 US) (without OS).
It has as an added bonus (customisable) backlit keyboard and great speakers. It's an absolute beast for the price.
EDIT: Someone else tested some demanding games and found out that - Tifanfall; max settings gets 60FPS, - Watch Dogs; ultra settings (no AA) gets 60FPS and Battlefield 4 high settings gets 80FPS.
Kind regards,
Low

Low,
I was considering buying a Doghouse Systems Monius laptop since my laptop now is a 5 year old Dell, but damn that MSI GT70 looks good!
