Was going to buy the Russian Coalition and Federated States of America fleets the other day and get into this............and Amazon won't ship to APO. Sigh......maybe it's a sign. Had a crap ton of amazon gift cards was why I was going through them.

Shame, I have been looking through version 2.0 and its well written (albeit a few typos).

I'm guessing you have emailed amazon about this?

Its a great game, though it takes a LOOOOONG time to play. I haven't gotten the new rule book yet, but I've been playing for about a year and have enjoyed it a lot.

In theory 2.0 shortens the game some. Folks over at Spartan Games have said about 30-40% shorter, but they were likely the playtesters as 2.0 just came out, so take that with a grain of salt.

I just picked up the new starter set, and can't wait to try it out.

I play...

Sigh.

Who am I kidding? I only paint these days...

I haven't gotten the new rules yet. I am going to order the starter set here soon. That is my only complaint with the game (the time) so if they did shorten it, I would play even more.

Carriers and the small flyers are much more streamlined now, at least.

I sent them all to my mom's house in the states and she's going to forward them to me overseas. So hopefully be playing my first game in a few weeks time.

I got my new rules just a few days ago, and they look awesome. I've got a couple of posts up on my blog:

I finally got my first game of 2.0 in last night and damn, it was a much better, faster, more balanced and more lethal game

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.
