Is there a limit to the amount of times a solo with magic ability can cast a spell a turn?

Example Koldun Lord, can i power boost an attack and cast frostbite in the same turn?

I can seem to find it one way of another in the mini rulebook i got with my starter set.

All the magic abilities are star (*) actions, so they require you to use your action. So normally only once.

Well, *actions or *attacks, but yeah they can only be done once (unless special abilities dictate otherwise).

*actions and *attacks both require you to sacrifice your initial attacks to do them, and nothing allows you to do them more than once a turn(aside from a few rules that do)

Much thanks. Is the rule book for the starter set not as thorough as the big rule book? I find some of the rules unclear.

If you're talking about the 2 player set, then yes, that's the full and complete rules.

If you're talking about the battlebox though, that's only the quick start rules. The quick start rules leave out a fair bit of clarifying text in order to be as condensed as possible (to fit onto 3 pages or whatever!), so it's fine for starting out with the basics, but you'll need to read through the main book when you start to expand beyond battlebox stuff. You'll definitely need it if you want to understand infantry, skills and Magic Ability, terrain and various other rules that aren't needed for battlebox stuff.

We're generally happy to answer any questions if there's anything you don't quite understand though

Thanks, i do indeed have the 2 player set, i may just need to read few a couple more times, I honestly sat down and read through it beginning to end, and reread a few parts i didnt think i quite grasped, now reading the post i do remember the (*) action rules forgoing their action, i think i need a few more play throughs to compile everything together, im teaching myself and my wife with no experienced partners lol. The clarification is greatly appreciated.
