With the focus that you get to allocate to it from it's "Accumulator" rule, where does the focus point come from? Does this come from the pool of focus that your warcaster generates? Or is it brand new?

Thanks. Thinking of starting warmachine and getting a Convergence army.

Accumulator is brand new focus, but understand that it is still "Allocated", which means that it can't take your focus total over three (so leave it on two focus, and it can accumulate a third when it activates).

Also know that when you use its Power Transfer *action that it is spending focus, and can therefore use it's induction node to allocate one more to the same or a different Vector. so if you "power transfer" two focus, you could induct a third to the same vector, or you could transfer 3 and induct one to a different vector (because vectors still can't be allocated more than 3).

Yes, the collarary is rediculously efficient.

Yep, what he said.

Separate from the rules question, you mentioned starting Warmachine with a Convergence army. Just as a heads up, and absolutely not to talk you out of doing that, Convergence is (to me) the hardest army to learn to play. The fluff paints them as clockwork constructs and the army absolutely plays like clockwork. If all the gears line up and every piece is doing its part, it is a very strong army. If something falls out of alignment due to incorrect activation order, opponent debuffs, poor movement, etc. then it can fall apart very quickly.

Again, not trying to discourage you, just letting you know ahead of time not to get frustrated.

Ok, say we have Syntherian. 7 focus.

Allocation comes around. He allocates 1 to the Corollary, and 3 to some other vectors.

The Corollary has been allocated 1 focus. It also gets a free focus from being near its warcaster. So its at 2 Focus.

The Corollary activates and uses its * action to give its focus to another Vector. Because its * spends the Focus on it, it generates ANOTHER free focus which it inducts to another jack(doesn't have to be the one it just gave focus to)

Heck, it wouldn't even have to be allocated any for this trick to work. No allocation, free focus for being near warcaster, spend focus to give it to a vector, generate a free focus via induction(give to the same or a different vector)

Yes its amazing.

And I would second Kirbinator in saying that Convergence is a complicated faction for a newbie. Don't get frustrated with the difficulty, or lack of general knowledge on the faction. There hasn't been enough time for the detailed tacticas to be written yet.
