Hi all,

So I'm thinking about starting a Blood Bowl league with some friends, and this will be the first time I've done something like this, let alone participate in the league. I have a couple of questions, as far as some additional rules go, and would like some clarification.

1. "Petty Cash": How does this concept work? From what I understand, before every game (after the first), a player can use the money they've earned from the previous games to contribute and add to their teams. Is this an amount of money that is permanently spent? So for example, if I've got $50,000 in petty cash, and I want to invest in a Bloodweiser, I wouldn't get that money back in the end, correct?

2. "FAME" and "Fan Factor": How do these two work in league play? Say for example, for the very first game of the league, I spend my $1 million on a team, and have a calculated Fan Factor of 3 (Basically $30K left after models purchased).

A) Will I always have a Fan Factor of 3 for every game after that?

B) Do I have to spend the entire $30K on my Fan Factor? (ie - Could I spend $20K, and put $10K into my petty cash to start the league)

C) Is there a way of permanently having a "FAME" bonus, or is that rolled at the beginning of every game?

If anymore questions come up, I'll be sure to ask. Thanks all!

Currently working with a small group, but we're open to more people joining. Most of us are still in the process of getting their teams together. If you're interested in joining, and wouldn't mind traveling, keep in touch, and we'll see if we can work something out.

1. Petty Cash: Petty Cash is the difference in Team Values between the teams, so it can be the first game although since you are just setting up the league it should be even at the start.
Petty Cash can only be spent before the game and is not carried forward after the game.

2. Fan Factor is bought during Team Generation and can be modified in the post-match sequence.
Fame is purely used for during a match, at the start of each game both players roll 2D6 and add their Fan Factor, who ever has a higher result has +1 Fame for the duration of the match unless the reulst was double of their opponents in which case it's +2 Fame. Fame affects 2 kick-off results and earnings in the post gave sequence.
Also in the post gave sequence depending on whether you won or loss (Ties are counted as losses for the purposes of this)If you won roll 3D6 and if you beat your current FF value you get a permanent +1. If you lost you roll 2D6 and beat or tie your current FF or lose 1 FF.

You don't have to spend excess money on FF but it's can help you out in game, hopes this helps you out

Currently debating whether to study for my exams or paint some Deathwing

The answers to these questions depends on the ruleset you are using. The most up-to-date and commonly accepted ruleset for league and tournament play is LRB 6 (Living Rulebook 6).

LRB 6 can be found, free of charge, here. League rules are very simple, start on pg 24, and should cover everything you need to know to run a league. But, again, if you're using an older version of the rules, every rule might not apply.
