Just wondering what peoples opinions are regarding different paint company comparisons. Who prefers Citadel, Vallejo Game Colors, or Coat D'Arms??? Please make sure you give a reason to why you like one over the other (pricing, availability, color selection, paint quality, etc). Or if you like to mix and match!

I look forward to hearing your thoughts

Thanks a bunch!

This may have been the wrong place to post this topic. Going to post it under painting and modeling as well.

Thanks

Hi,

Not really the forum, there is a general forum for questions such as this. However Welcome to Dakka

Hi, I would suggest asking this question in the Painting and Modeling section of the forum.

Coat d'arms is exactly precisely the old GW, imo both are great paints (old and new GW that is), the Vallejo I only know model air which is awesome to use directly in your airbrush even if you don't know how to mix.

The GW paints are doing perfect in the airbrush now that I know how to mix them too.

I have no experience with the Vallejo game or model - or reaper paints, and the painters I've watched were more between Vallejo and GW in general.

Unless you're buying a lot of paint at a time, I find GW paints much easier to procure, but clearly the alternatives are better priced.

I don't like the dropper bottle on the Vallejo when using a regular brush (even less now that I have good brushes) , but then I haven't started using a palette and that may be why.

Also, you should ask for your thread to be moved
