Me and some friends are looking to get into this and I was wondering if there's a Necromunda like campaign available. One where individual people gain skills as the campaign progresses.

Thank you!

There's the Paradiso campaign, which introduced the spec-ops, but that's it, apart from fan-made stuff.

To clarify.

Campaign Paradiso added a linear campaign to follow the story of the Paradiso invasion. It's a series of linked unique missions. It allows you to take a 'Spec Ops' model, which can gain experience and use it to gain new weapons and abilities over the course of the campaign. Or, you can use the experience to gain army wide bonuses.

There's no actual generic progression system, nor individual model experience progression for non Spec Ops like Necromunda. The most you'll find in normal games is ITS allows you to take a spec ops model with 12 experience points. Aside from homebrewing your own progression system, no, Infinity does not have a progression system like Necromunda.

I think the only reason progression was able to work in Necromunda was because everyone was using the same stat lines for their troops. You will see when you start looking at the variety of options in Infinity that some of them would just be ridiculous if they could be further improved.

For infinity you could simply start all models as Line Troops.
After that when you gain points you could upgrade the model towards medium, heavy or specialized troops.
All that within the constraints of the SWC rating and other other army build limitations.

The problem there is, the differences between line infantry, and even well trained light infantry, is huge. Then medium infantry, even bigger. Then heavy infantry, and you're getting absolutely ridiculous.

It also doesn't make sense with regards to the fluff. Haqqislam, with a model jumping from Ghulam to Odalisque to Sekban to Asawira would just make absolutely zero sense.

The experience system for Campaign Paradiso has two different parts:
1. The Spec Ops model advancement system
2. An advancement system for your army (army wide benefits of various sorts)

You could take the various missions in Paradiso and make minor modifications to get missions suitable for playing at random. Or you could take a system like YAMS and assign experience points for winning and losing.

But the Spec Ops models are the only ones that have persistent progress from one game to the next. And the Spec Ops models are all the basic trooper models to start with, with all of their improvements just making them better models of that class.

If you want to force the armies to develop with persistence from one game to the next, the simplest thing to do would be to adapt something like Dead Zone's campaign rules or something similar: Straight out buy models rather than upgrading existing ones, and if you lose too many models you get free basic troops to bring you back up to quota. Because there are just way too many different models in Infinity that would require different model advancement charts.
