Subject: Black Templars - 1000 Points List: Suggestions?

I sat down today with nothing to do, and decided to work up a small list for quick "Cleanse" missions. It's an infantry-heavy, footslogger list - heavy on the Elites, light on the Infantry. It has a Typhoon for support.
HQ 136 - Marshal (80) with Powersword (15), Bolt Pistol (1), Iron Halo (25), Terminator Honors (15), Crusader Seals (free)
Elites 185 - Sword Brethren Squad x5 Sword Brethren (95), Terminator Honors (50), Pair of Lighting Claws (25), Power Sword (15), Furious Charge. All have Bolt Pistol and CCw at no extra cost.
260 - Terminator Squad x5 Terminators (200), Assault Cannon (20), Cyclone Missile Launcher (25), Tank Hunters Special Skill (3ea. x 5 = 15)
Troops 106 - Combat Squad Alpha x6 Initiates (85), Bolt Pistol and Power Sword (15), Flamethrower (6)
106 - Combat Squad Beta Identical Config.
Fast Attack 85 - LST Beta Multi Melta (15)
23 models, 1 light vehicle. Comes out to an even 1000 points. Suggestions? Am I too "Super-Heavy Infantry, not enough regulars?"

At low points, I would drop the terms, trade in for a chaplain and more 'joe marine' guys. Fatten those troop squads up to absorb the cross board fire and if you have the points, stick some servos with the chaplain, cuz they look cool.

At that low a model count, your army will be lucky to get halfway across the board. The crusade squads in particular are far too low. Cut the dreads or the SB and beef those crusade squads out. Also, if you're planning on footslogging, you need something to get you across quickly. We've basically got 3 workeable options: Chaplains w/ servitors, Pods, or transports. Without some of those, you're going to have a rough time of it.
Oh, and besides the assault cannons you have no anti-tank. Not that that's anything new for black templars, but at least putting some meltaguns into your crusade squads would help.

Here's the revised list. I have 8 points left to make it an even 1000 - any suggestions?
HQ 136 - Marshal with Power Sword, Bolt Pistol, Iron Halo, Terminator Honors, Crusader Seals
Elites 185 - Sword Brethren Squad - 5 SB's (all with BP and CCw) with Power Sword, Lightning Claws, Terminator Honors, Furious Charge
Troops 168 - Tac Squad Alpha - 8 Marines, Bolt Pistol and Power Sword, Flamethrower, Drop Pod
168 - Tac Squad Beta - 8 Marines, Bolt Pistol and Power Sword, Flamethrower, Drop Pod
Fast Attack 85 - LST Beta with Multi-Melta
135 - Assault Squad - 5 Marines with Power Sword, Plasma Pistol, Melta Bombs
115 - Attack Bike Squad - 2 AB's with 1 Multi Melta * * * * * * * I like my fast attack units. Btw, can we still put smoke launchers on Landspeeders? it doesn't mention whether I can or can't in the BT 'dex.
Let me know what to do to get another 8 points to break an even 1000.

There's no need for smoke on the speeders. Since they're a fast vehicle, they move 12" and can only be glanced. I'm still worried about that marshall and his retinue. What are you planning on doing with them? They're an awefully tasty chunk of victory points that's going to be very alone in many games.

I figured losing the smokes would be a wise idea. I wasn't sure though, since it can only fire one weapon after moving more than 6", although I doubt I'll need an anti-tank and antipersonnel weapon for the same target.
As for the Marshall, I almost never leave him alone. If I can, I usually drop-pod him in with his command squad, but when he's alone, I'll probably have him attach to a squad for ablative shielding on the way in. 8 MEQs can act as a wonderful brick wall, especially since the Marshall will pay for himself twice over in CC. Of course, that's assuming I'm playing Tau - which I do, about 99% of the time. This summer however, when I play against more assault oriented armies, I'll probably drop the Iron Halo and possibly even the Termie Honors, making him a sweet 106 points. Hell, when fighting 'nids, I'd much rather have a crapload of decent attack spread evenly than one god-monger in power armor.
I guess that's just what happens though. Assault troops always suffer the most in that last dash to the lines.
So, now I have 11 points. Maybe if I give Crusader Seals to my Brethren squad? That puts me at 999 points.
