Pyromaniac Hellhound Pilot
In the warp, searching for Marbo
|
Was just wondering what would happen to a person(let's say a pilot or technician) who was put in stasis in the Dark Age of Technology, and they were found/revived by the imperium?
Someone who knew technology, or at the very least was trained to use it. Is there anything in the fluff about something like this?
I could see two major differences happening should the machine cult, or the inquisition find them.

After all these years of searching for Marbo...he found me. Heretics beware! He's back! |

In either case, they'd be a here-tek.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised. |

I think that Technician or pilot would be highly valued and lead to a very good narrative where multiple parties want to extract his knowledge for further use.

A scientist would definitely be viewed as a heretic. Someone that actually practices science, theories and has new ideas would be too much of a beacon of hope in the GrimDark 40k.

I think they would stand out so much that they would be immediately identified and taken to Mars/ Terra ASAP.. In chains with one or two chapters guarding them if needed..
Followed swiftly by inhumane torture... There no such thing as "please" and "thank you" in the inquisition

'Death of Integrity' deals with something along these lines and (spoiler alert) it didn't end well for the human crew.
