When using Echo, can you place 30* template in such a way that you can move backward after decloaking? Or must you always go fowards and sideways?

If you mean can you put the template behind you in the rear guidlines of your base and reverse along it then no. If you mean can you perform a barrel roll using the template curving backwards against the rear edge of your base so you end up slightly behind where you started (and pointing off the the side) then yes. Echo doesn't change the choice of manoeuvres you must pick from when you decloak, just the template you must perform them with.
