So I was up at the place I watch the local fireworks display and I'd got there early to get a good seat so I had time to screw around with the Squad Builder on my phone. I've been really trying to come up with a good counter to Whisper shooting first, and my original thought was VI on Wes, Wedge, and Luke, and using the stress droid to either make them stay cloaked (since they can decloak while stressed, but wouldn't be able to recloak), or prevent them from re-cloaking once it happens. Then I started playing around with variations, using high PS pilots to make sure I was getting to shoot before Whisper, and even tried putting both an Ion Turret (from Jan) in the list to work alongside the stress droid on one of the Xs (or Corran's E in one variation). I think the main issue I was left to deal with was that even fully kitted out with what seems to be the "optimized" (at least according to many of the posts I've seen) configuration (Advanced Cloak, VI, Intelligence Agent, Advanced Sensors), Whisper is still only 41 points which means there is 59 points of other stuff I have to worry about too. Plus a Phantom is just way more maneuverable than pretty much anything the Rebels have which means keeping one in arc is hard.

Now that wave 4 has been out for a bit over a week what have other primarily Rebel players been coming up with to counter the new Imperial hotness?

SoCal

Fletchette Torpedoes. You don't even need to hit.

Combine that with Deadeye.

What Vertrucio said plus Munitions Failsafe. Or simple Homing Missiles on high PS A-wings with Dead Eye on. This will be easier when Rebel Aces is out. Practically one shot them.
