Is a colossal/gargantuan considered a non-character warjcak/warbeast for the purpose of themed forces?

My understanding is yes it does.

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Yes. In the Colossal rules it says that a Colossal is a Huge based warjack (and a Gargantuan is a huge based warbeast), so they'll fit in the requirements for non-character warjacks or warbeasts but they will not fit the requirements for large based warjacks or warbeasts.

Note that it is NOT a Heavy Warjack/Warbeast. Its a Colossal Warjack/Gargantuan Warbeast.

So if the theme Force says "non-character heavy or light warjacks" it will not allow Colossals/Gargs.

If it just says "non-character jacks/beasts" then you are fine.

Just a clarification as some themes specify heavy or light jacks in the theme and thus would disallow colossals and gargs.
