So, I love Khorne and I love the World Eaters. I also love running Berzerker + Kharn rush lists but this isn't the tactica forum.

Anyway.... I had always thought the helmet flanges/horns/thingies on berzerker helmets were a post-chaos thing, like something the legion and its subsequent warbands took up after devoting themselves to Khorne.

But then Forgeworld releases their MK II veteran heads for World Eaters and I was thinking, is the World eaters' helmet style a cultural thing they got from Angron's Homeworld (Can't think of the name atm)? Does it serve a tactical purpose? did all the legions' helmets have something like that and then they were all upgraded, but some Happenstance quality of that style become preferable to the world eaters' legion?

My nerd trivia gets a little weird sometimes, with the facts I can pull off the top of my head, but I really don't like losing sleep over this type of thing.

I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature.

when I look at these FW's helmet, the first word come into my mind is "gladiator"

and so goes the whole XII legion.

see, gladiator-like stuff are relevant with Butcher's Nails

They could also be explained by the warping influence of chaos.
The "bunny ears" ARE a stylised form of the Khorne rune, after all.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
